Unite4Kids supports the brave children facing serious illness and their families by partnering with charities that provide vital care, comfort, and hope.
🩷❤️🧡💛💜💙🩵💚🎗️ She completed more than 2 years of treatment and thankfully, is currently in remission. Unfortunately there are many other children who are still undergoing treatment, have relapsed or have lost their battle. With no control over what
was happening to our precious daughter, the chemotherapy, countless medications, the hair loss, watching her struggle through treatment, loss of appetite, at times she even had to be separated from her brothers, friends and even us, her parents, to protect her from catching anything and jeopardising her treatment. Holly, like the many other unwell children, continue to be the bravest inspiration to us all, greeting every day with amazing positivity, resilience and strength. The Unite 4 Kids Luncheon raises money for three children's charities:
• Childhood Cancer Association - providing hands on help for children and their families who are impacted by cancer, in Holly’s words, “I can write to Elliot the Dog [the mascot for Childhood Cancer Association] and he writes back, there is always someone I can talk to.” https://childhoodcancer.asn.au/
• Clown Doctors - where laughter is the best medicine, who Holly says, “make me laugh and feel better when I’m in hospital” https://humourfoundation.com.au/
• Starlight Children's Foundation - brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families by disrupting the relentless cycle of pain and trauma and offer a welcome break so that sick kids can simply be kids. https://starlight.org.au/
As a result The Advertiser Foundation are now in our FIFTH year of hosting the ‘Unite 4 Kids’ luncheon to raise money for these charities who help so many children and their families going through serious illness. We would like to invite you to be a part of this event and host your own table, make a donation and spread the word so together we can support these charities and the amazing work they do. It is an amazing day full of entertainment, special guests, a great atmosphere along with delicious food and beverages. In addition to this there will be a live charity auction and "smile wall" raffle. All proceeds from the event direct go to our three nominated charities. Kim & Ben Mead
