Offt, yeah. This hurts.

📢 NOVEL & SPICE ON THE MURRAY IS BEING RESCHEDULED 📢

It will be moving to 2027, we are in the process of locking in a date.

Why? ⬇️

When I applied to attend the Royal Adelaide Show on a whim I didn’t think I was going to be invited. This event was already locked in but I hadn’t made the announcement.

Then BOOM, I got invited to the show and was presented an opportunity I would have been stupid to pass up. Alas, I was still determined to do both events.

Then my daughter started having some serious health concerns.
Then my mental health took a huge dive.
I told my doctor I wasn’t okay. I started therapy.

I realised that I’ve put this business and trying to please everyone before my health for over 6 years now. So as devastated as I am to have to reschedule this I know it’s the right thing to do. I know that I can’t put myself, and my daughter through two back to back events.

I know that the Adelaide Show is an absolutely incredible opportunity for Fiction & Friction but it’s going to take every single drop of energy I have to make it to the finish line so I’ve got to start looking after myself a little better.

🎀 I’m so sorry, but I have plans for the future that I think will make it all worth it. Novel & Spice isn’t going anywhere, it’s going to evolve 😘

➡️ An intimate signing with up to 12 Authors Signing at the Bridgeport Hotel on Saturday the 22nd of August—this is a ticketed event ticket date TBA.

AND

➡️ 2 Vendors at Fiction & Friction on Sunday the 23rd with free craft activities—this is a free event.

If you’re an Author or Vendor our Expression of Interest Form is now open. You can find the link in our bio. Invites will start going out as early as next week 🎀

🎟️ This event will have no more than 150 tickets available. 50 of those will be VIP Tickets. We will have more details to come very soon!

We are putting together our lanyards and they’ve turned out so good. These are for the Novel + Spice Team, Authors, Vendors and VIP’s 🙌🏼

➡️ Mr Fyre has put a little spot so you can write what you’re addicted too and obviously Lani and I decided we had to put our current romance trope addictions.

🖊️ Sharpies will be available to use—not keep—during registration so you can write your name and addictions.

It’s almost here!

🌳 Novel + Spice: Chapter One
Adelaide Convention Centre - Hall L
Saturday November 1st

➡️ VIP After Dark Registration from 10:30am for 11:30am Entry
➡️ General Admission Registration from 11:00am for 12:00pm Entry

We know people love to arrive early and get excited but last year we had issues with the lines being too long for too long and we want to avoid that. We will not be starting any Ticket Registration before 10:30am and don’t want anybody starting a cue until that time.

🌳 We will have an email going out to ticket holders with all the relevant details and need to know so keep an eye out for that!

➡️ Last year we allowed any trolleys but we worked out very quickly that beach trolleys have terrible turning circles and this makes it hard it crowded spaces. So this year we are saying no to those style of trolleys.

Everything else is fine! But please be mindful of people.

🛒 Don’t open your suitcases in the middle of the room.
🎀 Don’t sort your trolley in the middle of the room.
🛒 We have a seating area this would be the idea place to sort your stash.
🎀 Be mindful of clothes when moving anything around.
