5K & 10K Race Cancellation

Due to the incoming Nor’easter this weekend, the Run Medford Saturday morning events have been cancelled. The safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community members is our number one priority. Bib pickup will still take place inside the gym at Medford High School from 4pm-6pm tonight for those who would like to pick up their t-shirt and race bib.

We are currently exploring potential reschedule dates for later this Fall and will share additional information as soon as it is confirmed. Please stay tuned for updates regarding any next steps or a new date.

The Kids Races tonight, Friday September 25, are still on as scheduled inside the gym at Medford High School. We look forward to seeing the kiddos on the start line this evening!

Due to incoming inclement weather, the Run Medford Kids Fun Run on Friday night has been moved inside the gym at Medford High School.

Location: Medford High School Gym
Date: Friday, September 25

Event Timeline:
4:00pm: Registration opens
5:15pm: Kids' Fun Runs
6:00pm: Bib pick up closes for Saturday's events

As of now, all Saturday morning races remain the same. However, depending on the severity of the weather, adjustments may be made by Friday afternoon regarding the Saturday races. The safety of participants, volunteers, staff, and community members is our top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Important Weather Notice
Hello Run Medford Participants!

As we all have been hearing on the news, it seems like we are going to experience some rough weather this coming weekend in the form of rain and wind. We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this weekend's Run Medford events on both Friday evening and Saturday morning.

As of now, the event is on and will take place rain or shine. However, the safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community is always our number one priority. Our team will continue to monitor conditions closely and make any necessary decisions based on the latest weather and safety information.

Please keep an eye on your inbox and our official event communications for any updates or additional notices leading up to race day.

Run Medford course map announced!

Run Medford is coming up next weekend, and we’re sharing a reminder about the roads that will be impacted during the race around 7:30 am to 9:45 am. Roads will reopen on a rolling basis as the last runners pass through each area.

Parking notice: This is a looped race, so you will finish where you start. There are parking lots along Clippership Drive in Medford Square as well as in the lot along Mystic Valley Parkway (Rt. 16) near Condon Shell. Please park only where legal to do so. There will be NO PARKING signs placed in many sections of the actual race course. Arrive early to get a parking space.

STREETS IMPACTED:
-Salem Street: Full closure from Route 60 Rotary to Forest Street
-High Street: Westbound closure from Forest Street to Winthrop Circle
-Winthrop Street: Westbound closure from Winthrop Circle to Lawrence Road
-Lawrence Road: Eastbound closure from Winthrop Street to Forest Street
-Forest Street: Southbound closure from Lawrence Road to Salem Street
-Riverside Avenue: Full closure from Ring Road/Clippership Avenue to Medford Square
-City Hall Mall: Full closure; Atrius Health Parking Garage will have no access
-Governors Avenue: Full closure from Lawrence Road to High Street
