The Second Hamantasch-Run 5k is just around the corner! We are expecting a great turnout for this walker, stroller, and dog-friendly event!

The race will take place on Sunday, March 9th, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with registration opening at 9:00 AM. We'll start at Arlington Town Hall, 730 Massachusetts Avenue.

Same-day registration will be available with no price increase. Tell your friends and family to join in the fun! Limited beanies available from last year, and all runners receive Hamantasch-Run gloves!

Bib, beanie, and glove pickup will be available from 9:00 AM near the starting line at Arlington Town Hall. Several parking options are available:

1. Arlington Town Hall Parking Lot (race starting line) at 730 Massachusetts Ave.

2. Bank of America/Tatte/Municipal Parking Lot (across the street from Town Hall) at 655 Massachusetts Ave.

3. Russell Commons Parking Lot (Free)

4. Street parking.

Parking is free in all municipal lots and meter parking spaces on Sunday. The nearest train station is Alewife Station for those using public transportation. A portable toilet will be available for runners near the starting line.

The course will be well marked and marshaled, including a police detail.

This year's prizes will be awarded to the top male and top female winners. Runners in costume will also receive a 50/50 ticket for a chance to win one of six gift cards from our generous sponsors: Sweat Fixx, Intelligent Labor and Moving, Arlington Body & Brain (Yoga & Tai Chi), and Henry Bear Park. Prizes will be announced at 10:40 AM. Stick around after the race to enjoy music and Hamantaschen at the finish line—it's the perfect way to celebrate your run!

A quick reminder that race day falls on the first morning of Daylight Savings Time, so be sure to set your clocks forward an hour to avoid any mix-ups. The current forecast shows a high of 40°F, so dress in warm layers—those Hamantasch-Run beanies and gloves will definitely come in handy!

We are expecting a great turn out on Sunday! Bib/beanie pick up and race-day registration will be open from noon ($25/runner) in front of the Arlington town hall at 730 Massachusetts Avenue. Racers in costume will be entered to win one of six $25 gift certificates from Marathon Sports. Walkers, strollers and dogs welcome! Hamantaschen at the finish line! We are using a previously certified course that will be well marked and police detailed. There will be Purim celebrations at the Masonic temple following the race.
