Much needed Summer evening rains are back on the Gulf coast of Florida. We watch the weather closely for those pop-up shower patterns so we can make the safest call for each trip, whether that means adjusting the route, rescheduling, or canceling if needed.

The good part is that these rainy evenings often lead to some of the most beautiful sunsets over Venice and the Gulf. A shelf cloud rolling through, warm air over the water, and the sky lighting up afterward can make for a really special night on the water.

This trip to Stump Pass gave us a little bit of everything. The dolphins were rolling, fishing, and playing all around us, then the summer rain over land and a beautiful rainbow made the whole ride feel extra special. We ended the day with a beautiful cruise back up the Gulf as the sun went down.

A great day on the water like this is exactly why we love sharing Venice Florida boat tours, dolphin watching, and sunset cruises around Nokomis and the Gulf Coast.

A great day at Midnight Pass with crystal clear water, pretty shells, and some quality family time. It was one of those simple Florida days that remind you how special the Gulf Coast really is. We turned the engine off and found ourselves surrounded by 15 to 20 manatees. We sat there in silence, completely in awe of the moment.

The Hayfu II made its way north up the Intracoastal in Venice. This is an 82' yatch built by AF Theriault & Son Ltd foe $7 mil. in 2008. It is privately registered, but rumored to be the CEO of a large company.

And yes, if we put the top down, GreatDay! could cruise right down the center under that boat.
