Game #3 against Clay - Chalkville, player of the week presented by Alfa Insurance - The Gray Agency goes to Luke Olson.

Luke had 2 tackles, 3 assist and 1 pass breakup that led directly to an interception, but he was dominant up front all night.
He consistently won at the line of scrimmage, took on multiple blockers, created pe*******on and forced the football to go where we wanted it to go. There were several plays where somebody else got their name in the stat book because he did his job very well and created the opportunity for them. He played an outstanding football game for us against the number 1 team in the state.

Southside plays Pinson Valley away on September 18th. Everyone needs to go support our team this week.

Game #1 against Chelsea, player of the week presented by Alfa Insurance - The Gray Agency goes to Maddox Gray. This one hit a little different. Proud of the game that all our players played. They had to be out in positions they had never played or practiced and we still played well as a team. So proud of all our guys for the game they played last night. The ball could’ve gone to several guys last night because that’s how well they all played.
The coaching staff always chooses the player, I just have the honor of gifting this ball to the deserving individual.

After some difficult circumstances early in the game, Maddox had to slide to a position he has never played before, to finish out the game as a key part of the secondary, on our very tough defensive unit.

Maddox had 8 tackles and 2 pass break ups.

Southside plays Hokes Bluff this coming Thursday in Hokes Bluff. Let’s show up and show out for our boys this week in the Bluff.
