We are honored to share that Kasayahan — Filipino American Festival Portland is officially recognized by the city of City of Portland. Special thanks to Mayor Keith Wilson for supporting the more than 50,000 Oregonians who identify as Filipino — a vibrant and growing community whose contributions strengthen our state. Thanks to FilAmFest PDX co-organizer + leader Christian Aniciete, MBA for writing the proclamation.

Portland is home to Oregon’s largest Filipino population, with an estimated 9,400 Filipino residents, followed by Hillsboro, Oregon (~4,100) and City of Gresham (~3,000). As we look ahead to Filipino American History Month in October, we’re proud to uplift Filipino American culture, heritage, history, and community through FilAmFest PDX.

See you on September 12 as we celebrate culture, heritage and community with apldeap together. Tickets are still available: www.filamfestpdx.com ❤️💙💛🤍

“Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world.”

The 3rd annual Kasayahan is almost here — the result of nearly a year of planning, meetings, calls, late nights, and showing up throughout our community. From hitting the ground running after last year’s festival to building on our AANHPI celebration with API Forward Foundation and various partners, to summer events like LakadPDX, PACCO rooftop networking and this week’s Portland Staycation launch by Prosper Portland and Travel Portland, every step has led us to this moment.

Grateful for our small but mighty team of volunteers who poured in time, heart, and love as well as everyone who has believed in our vision of bringing the community together through a festival that celebrates Filipino culture and heritage. Tickets are still available at filamfestpdx. We can’t wait to see you this Saturday! ❤️💙💛

More than 50,000 Filipino Americans call Oregon home. Many have journeyed thousands of miles from the Philippines in search of a better life. But no matter how far they go, there’s something they continue to seek: community.

That’s the heart of Kasayahan.

It’s for those who miss the sights, sounds and flavors of home. For families passing traditions from one generation to the next. And for children growing up far from the Philippines who deserve to know and celebrate where they come from.

On September 12, Oregon’s first and only Filipino American festival returns to Portland for its third year — bringing together food, music, culture, heritage and community, with more than a dozen Filipino American artists and a special performance by apldeap.

Come home to Kasayahan 🇵🇭❤️
