Special thanks to all of our partners from API Forward and the Filipino American Northwest Association for a successful AANHPI Heritage Celebration Food Fest that drew over 100 attendees including Senator Ron Wyden for a celebration of food, heritage, culture, small business and community at The Hoxton, Portland.

Thank you to the amazing local acclaimed chefs from Magna Kusina, Baka Umai and Shandiz Mediterranean Bar And Grill as well as small businesses, Square Munch and Golden Swan Laotian Beef Jerky and the local artists who shared their talents during the event. We can't wait to bring this event back bigger and better next time.

Congratulations again to the entire cast of Portland Revels + Theatre Diaspora’s inspiring musical, “Re-Rite!”

From a successful run at Portland Center Stage to an intimate community showing with APANO, the musical follows three artists — Lila (Filipino), Somchai (Laotian), and Arjun (Indian)as they strive to win a high-stakes dance competition, grappling with the pressure of honoring traditional family expectations while finding their own authentic paths in life. The musical asks a deeply philosophical question about cultural heritage: "When artists navigate love and family expectations, do we find renewal by preserving tradition exactly as it is, or by daring to remake it together?"

“Re-Rite” closes tonight with another intimate, limited-seat community showing at the Filipino Bayanihan Center.
