♨️ GOOD NEWS: BAGBY IS BACK OPEN! After being closed for several weeks due to the Austin Fire, one of Oregon’s most iconic hot springs has officially reopened!

Hidden deep in the lush, moss-covered canopy of the Mt. Hood National Forest, this legendary spot is a bucket-list destination—especially as the crisp autumn air sets in.

⚠️ KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
Because Bagby is remote and cell service is non-existent, proper planning is required:
💵 $5 per person, payable at trailhead

❌ DO NOT follow Google Maps down small side roads! Online GPS frequently routes drivers down rough, unmaintained logging roads, leading to vehicle damage and lost travelers.

🛣️ STAY ON MAIN ROUTES: Take OR-224 out of Estacada and stick to primary forest roads.

🐶 Dogs are allowed in the campground and hot springs but must be leashed.

🌲 Mt. Hood’s most famous "hidden gem" just got a major makeover!
If you’ve ever visited Little Crater Lake, you know how breathtaking its crystal-clear, deep blue artesian spring waters are. But after years of heavy foot traffic, the surrounding trail and viewing areas were in serious need of TLC.

Thanks to a partnership between Clackamas County, Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory, and the National Forest Foundation, this beloved spot is officially back and better than ever!

Here’s what’s brand new at the site:
🪵 Reconstructed puncheon & boardwalk
🔍 Upgraded, accessible viewing platform
🥾 Smooth, regraded gravel trail
🪧 Updated interpretative signage & entrance kiosk
ℹ️ VISITOR INFO & PASSES:
• Day-Use Fee: $10 per vehicle
• Passes Accepted: Valid Northwest Forest Pass
