Earlier this year, Jocko battled through the elite competition at the SCHEELS KC Frontier Feud and earned one of the most coveted awards in youth wrestling… the Golden Buffalo. 🏆🦬

Last weekend, he got the chance to get up close and personal with the real thing in Yellowstone. Safe to say… the Frontier Feud spirit travels well. 💪

If you are waiting to receive your champion wrestler's bracket in the mail, we want to let you know that we are currently reviewing and collecting all bracket requests, and expect to print and send out the brackets within the next week or two. We will post further updates as we move forward. No matter what, everyone who needs a bracket will receive one.

We are also ordering more 2nd place medals. Those take more time to produce, but we will get them out to every 2nd place finisher who didn't get one.

Thanks to all of you for your patience. Rest assured that we are taking steps to improve our printing capacity so all brackets can be printed on-site and on time at next year's Feud. We are also ordering way more medals -- and planning to keep a closer eye on them so a whole box of silvers doesn't get lost, as apparently happened to us this year! 😲

The Kansas Elite “Elite Wrestler of the Month”

Piper McMillan! Piper had herself a month! She stated off with an amazing championship at Warrior Clash and followed it up with an even tougher championship at the amazing KC Frontier Feud tournament! For those keeping track, she is now won 2 of the three championships needed for the “Trilogy Award”. If she wins “Gold Rush” at the end of the season she will be a Trilogy winner!

 This award is not given to someone that just wins. It is earned by someone that displays elite level work ethic and leadership skills in the wrestling room as well as their performance outside of the room. Outside of the room includes school and home as well! Piper is holding a Myrmidon helmet. The helmet worn by Achilles, the Myrmidon’s leader.  Each month before practice the kids will receive a history lesson on elite things they see every day to have a better idea of what makes someone elite. There are elite animals, athletes, warriors, community members, and students to name a few. To become elite at anything you need to work at something very hard, harder than anyone else.

While Piper’s recent performances in the elite level tournaments were incredible, it was her profound effort at leadership in the wrestling room that truly earned her the award. Her constant focus on emotional growth and personal development is what we are the most proud of! This will allow her to continue to grow into develop into an elite community member! Very proud of her and look forward to her becoming a role model in the future!
