Bishop Ranch, you sure do know how to Beer City! 🍺🏃

Miles were run. Beers were earned. The Beast was beaten. The Beer Trolley rolled. And then somehow everyone still had enough left in the tank for a full afternoon at Shindig.

From the first start line to the last beer, Beer City Bishop Ranch packed a LOT into one Saturday. Thanks to everyone who ran, volunteered, poured, played, danced, brought a pup, grabbed a beer and made this one such a damn good time.

Bishop Ranch, you were a blast, we’ll be back before you know it! 🍻

Bishop Ranch, you really showed up. 🍻🏃

We ran. We drank. We chased a giant wiener dog. We raised some money for some shelter dogs. We earned our beer and then kept the party going at the Shindig.

Huge cheers to everyone who raced, poured, played, volunteered, cheered, hopped on the Beer Trolley, brought a pup, beat the Beast (or got absolutely smoked by him), and helped make Beer City Bishop Ranch one for the books.

Best of all, we got to do it while supporting Love & Second Chances Animal Rescue and the incredible work they do for dogs in need. 🐾❤️

Bishop Ranch, here’s what you’re in for this weekend. 🍺🏃

Saturday morning, we run. Saturday afternoon, we Shindig. Take on the Half Marathon, 10K or 5K through San Ramon, cross that finish line, grab the beer you just earned and settle in, because there’s a whole lot more Beer City ahead.

Think you’ve still got something left in the tank? Beat the Beast puts four 12-oz beers and one mile between you and glory, all while trying not to get caught by one surprisingly speedy wiener dog. Or bring your own four-legged running buddy for the Top Dog Dash, a .5-mile trot for pups and their people benefiting Love & Second Chances Animal Rescue. 🐕🍺

Then we roll straight into the Shindig with live music, our Beer City DJ, games, local beer and plenty happening long after the last race finisher comes through.🍻

Basically, clear your Saturday. Beer City Bishop Ranch is THIS WEEKEND, and we’ve got a whole day planned for you.

Beer City Bishop Ranch takes over San Ramon September 12, starting with the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K + Beer Stroll. Cross the finish line and you’ve got local beer waiting for you.

But then Beer City gets extra...
At 11am, Beat the Beast takes off: one mile, four beers and one very fast wiener dog standing between you and glory. 🍺🐕💨

Then we roll straight into SHINDIG, our post-race party with live bands, our Beer City DJ, games, food + beer you won’t find in your average finish chute. And Shindig all kicks off as the dogs get their turn with the Top Dog Dash, a half-mile pup parade where everybody gets a cape.* Proceeds benefit Love & Second Chances Animal Rescue. ❤️🐾

The $5 Beer City Trolley runs from 11am-5pm, making the rounds between Fieldwork, Canyon Club, and Danville Brewing every 45 minutes. Get on. Drink local. Get back on. Repeat. 🚌🍺

This is running. This is beer. This is dogs in capes, a Beast on your heels, live music after the finish line and an entire damn trolley dedicated to keeping the party moving.

You didn’t really think we’d throw a Beer City Shindig and make your best drinking buddy sit this one out, did you?

Top Dog Dash is a .5-mile trot around the festival for the goodest boys, girls + their humans. Leash up, take a lap, earn your glory, then roll straight into the Shindig.

And because no Beer City athlete should leave empty-pawed, every pup gets their very own Beer City cape.* 🦸🐕

Meanwhile, the humans get morning drink privileges + a 2-drink Shindig pass. Everybody wins.

Best part? Your lap does some good, too. Proceeds benefit Love & Second Chances Animal Rescue. ❤️🐾

Once the miles are logged and the Beast has been bested, we’re keeping Beer City Bishop Ranch rolling.

Shindig is our post-race party, taking over the festival from 12pm-3:30pm with live music from School of Rock San Ramon and GamperDrums Presents, our Beer City DJ, Top Dog Dash, food, games, and plenty of reasons not to head home just yet.
Shindig is FREE to attend, so bring the friends who had absolutely no intention of running anywhere.

All that running can really work up an appetite..and a thirst..and, frankly, a need to sit down somewhere nice. 🍺🏃

Luckily, our friends at Discover San Ramon are backing Beer City Bishop Ranch, and did all the hard work of putting together the local cheat sheet for anyone rolling into town for race weekend.

Where to stay. Where to eat. Where to grab a drink. What to do once your legs have officially clocked out for the day. Basically, they know San Ramon, and they’ve vouched for the spots worth hitting while you’re here.

So if you’re making a weekend out of September 12, take it from the locals.

Why only stop at one Beer City location? 🚎🍺

Once you’ve run, Shindigged, and collected a few finish-line pours, hop aboard the Beer City Trolley and take the party on the road.

The trolley loops through some of our local brewery friends, including Fieldwork Brewing Company, Canyon Club Brewery, and Danville Brewing Co., from 11am–5pm, with a bus rolling through about every 45 minutes.
Hop off. Grab a beer. Hop back on. Repeat responsibly.

Trolley tickets are just $5 and can be added when you register for Beer City Bishop Ranch or purchased separately.

Running may have gotten you here. Beer is taking you the rest of the way. 🚎🍻
