Great Performances NYC's most innovative catering and event company with our own Hudson Valley organic farm. Its first commercial kitchen was built in Soho in 1982.

Great Performances was incorporated in 1979 as a waitress staffing service for women in the arts, offering an alternative way to supplement meager artist incomes with work in the fledgling catering industry. The industry boomed overnight and Great Performances grew along with it, most notably by adding men to its personnel roster and catering to its client services. Ten years later, the company mo

ved to Hudson Square where it now occupies 23,000 square feet, a space more than 15 times the size of its original commissary. Today, Great Performances - a company that recognizes women and men equally - is an established and successful enterprise, remaining committed to its mission in the arts while elevating hospitality to an art form in itself. Under the leadership of CEO Liz Neumark, Great Performances is a fast paced, 24/7, world where everything is possible. It is the go-to party planning and catering company for special events that require critical review and attention/devotion to details, but it is also a company that focuses on small, intimate gatherings with craftsmanship. It is a place where clients and chefs collaborate; where senior and junior staffs inspire and teach each other. It is a company that serves the privileged of New York and cares about the less fortunate. It is a company that promotes organic food and sustainable resources through it's very own Katchkie Farm. Chef Millie Peartree knows first-hand how food provides comfort and brings people together, whether at Hollywood parties or at her recent soul food venture here in the Bronx. She began her newest venture, Full Heart Full Bellies, in response to the pandemic, which has resulted in the closure of 50% of the food pantries and soup kitchens in the Bronx.

By feeding children disproportionally affected by the pandemic, Millie Peartree Catering is following her passion to share food that nourishes and cheers, while also pursuing lasting food justice in her own back yard. This Thursday she'll be here to take your questions!
