There was a great song a few years back about the Sounds of Silence. Well, not a fan of silence, though the song was ok and a hit. I want some great tunes that you can play as loud or soft as your want. It would also be great to tie the sounds into your TV for a full entertainment experience, especially some of the action movies and shows available. But alas, I just don't have the electronic genius to get a system put together.

Well the answer to all this is our friends Front Row Audio/Video. Patrick and his crew have all the knowledge and equipment to set you up. From basic systems to state of the art, Front Row Audio is the go to for entertainment systems and related additions.

It's almost time. Make your plans to join us at Broken Arrow Park this Saturday from 8-3 for the Summer's End Cruise-In in support of Lawrence Blue Santa and O'Connell Children's Shelter with Set 'em up Jacks at the helm.

And for the kids, don't miss seeing Bluey at 11:00. Bluey will be available to entertain and mesmerize your kids. Don't miss this event. And Touch and Truck will also be in full swing. So plenty for the kids to do.

When you think of good deals on the things you need everyday, many think of Walmart. And when the show needed support for the charities, we turned to Walmart as well. And they came through with a generous donation as well as volunteers to make the show go smoothly.

So make plans to come out to Broken Arrow Park, 31st and Louisiana, Lawrence, KS this next Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8-3 for a great day checking out some of the finest cars and trucks in the area. And don't miss the extra's like great food and beverages, live music on our stage, plenty of kids activities including a visit from Bluey and Bingo, Touch a Truck and much, much more. Family friendly and free to attend. Don't miss out.

Lawrence Blue Santa works year round in helping kids and families in the community. From replacing a broken or stolen bicycle for a kid, to snacks at Boys and Girls Club, to helping get food on the table to gifts at Christmas, Blue Santa stays busy.

The men and women in Law Enforcement have stood proud in their support of Blue Santa with donations to the cause. Thanks go to Lawrence Police Officer's Association for their generous donation.

With this heat wave we can all be thankful that Summer is about to end. Which signals the great Summer's End Cruise-In at Broken Arrow Park on Saturday, September 12 right here in beautiful Lawrence, Kansas. The show supports our 2 charities O'Connell Children's Shelter and Lawrence Blue Santa.

Now if you are having trouble staying cool before fall hits, perhaps a call to our good friends Scott Temperature is in order. Scott Temperature is a locally owned company that has everything you need to cool your house or even get you set for the upcoming winter months. They are also long time supporters of the show and our charities. So give them a call when the need arises.

This Saturday, Sept 5, is the last monthly Cruise-In at Set 'em up Jacks before the big Summer’s End Cruise-In on Saturday, Sept 12. This will be the last chance to pre-register for the big show. It is well worth it to pre-register as you will get a bunch of goodies and the commemorative T-shirt if you pre-pay. We will have a table at the monthly cruise-in to take your registrations. Hope to see a big turn out this Saturday and at the big show!

Cans, Cans and more Cans. Cans to the left of me, Cans to the right of me. Won't somebody please pick up the Cans? Well somebody is here in Lawrence. A great group called Cans for the Community does just that. And the money they collect goes to worthwhile charities and projects. One such donation this year is support of the show and Lawrence Blue Santa. What a wonderful group and supporters of our great community.

Now I'm not advocating that you toss your empty cans down for them to pick them up, but I would encourage everyone to save them up and deposit them in collection bins all over town. At many grocers and churches. What a great way to help save the planet and support worthwhile causes.
