Every car that drives through Lawrence Lights this season helps support Homeless Resource Center, Claire's Community, Elizabeth B. Ballard Community Center, Schiefelbusch SPLH Clinic, Positive Bright Start, and the Lawrence Kansas Parks and Recreation Wee Folks Scholarship.

What a Community Day! 🎄✨
A huge thank you to KU's Student United Way of Kaw Valley, KU's American Red Cross Club, Jayhawk Breakfast Rotary Club, and all the volunteers who came out Saturday to string lights on trees, fences, and dugouts. Thanks to you, we’re one step closer to our biggest Lawrence Lights drive-through yet!

It’s game time! We’ve been working on displays since April, and it’s almost time to install them at Lawrence Lights!

This year we have some fun new elements that we can’t wait to share with you.

Thanks to United Way of Kaw Valley for hosting the Nancy Perry Day of Caring. Yesterday we were graciously provided help by team members from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas to help turn Lawrence Lights into a magical holiday atmosphere... in oppressive 96° Kansas heat!

Special thanks to FASTSIGNS for providing equipment assistance, and cheers to all the volunteers that provided help across Douglas and Shawnee Counties.

Thanks to those who visited our Sertoma/Lawrence Lights table at the Douglas County Volunteer Expo. Yesterday Betty and Brian had a wonderful time sharing about how people can help us bring holiday cheer and support to our local nonprofits.

Last year visitors absolutely loved YellowBug’s giant sea turtle. This year we are thrilled to host 3 sculptures!

Thanks to Ptr Sponseller from Clover GEAR Reclaimed ART. for his work on the project. It’s cool to see all the hard work that happens behind the scenes to make Lawrence Lights shine! ✨

** LAST CALL FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS! **

Grant applications are due next Friday! If your 501c3 nonprofits based in Douglas County, you have until the 11th to apply for the Lawrence Sertoma Grant.

Proceeds from the Lawrence Lights community fundraiser are what make these grants possible. We can’t wait to give back to this amazing community. ❤️
