Turkish cellist and composer Ezgi Karakus is bringing her genre-defying sound to town, and this time she's debuting an entirely new side of her artistry: original disco-style music, performed live for the very first time.

Ezgi has mesmerized audiences from prestigious symphony halls to sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall, and her music draws on Turkish, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and contemporary influences, blending cultural depth with personal storytelling. Last Tuesday's Soccer Celebration was a blast! Great music and an incredible performance from freestyler Tim Hoekamp. If you missed his gravity-defying soccer skills, you'll get another chance on June 25th — we're hosting another Soccer Celebration in front of the Lawrence Arts Center, plus a watch party inside for the USA vs. Turkey game.

JUST ANNOUNCED!! New Horizons Band will play a selection of pieces to celebrate the World Cup and our guests Algeria, with a rendition of the Algerian National Anthem, Kassaman. Join us at 6:30pm for this special performance before SUNU brings the energy up for the big game, Algeria vs Argentina on the big screen at Liberty Hall!

Get ready to celebrate in the streets Lawrence! This Tuesday we’ll be partying on 7th street and watching the Algeria vs. Argentina game in historic libertyhallinc. Then on Thursday June 25th we return to New Hampshire street and watch the USA vs. Turkey game at the Lawrence Arts Center. Then again let’s gather in South Park on July 11 to celebrate the Quarter Final game in Kansas City and watch it at nearby macelislawrenceks.
