🎓 PhD Candidate

🔍 Musicology

“I strongly believe that among musicologists, there's a taboo or stigma on saying how much music matters to us. But I think it's precisely because we care so much about it—we love it, it's a part of ourselves—that we study and think about it equally as much. Because it means the world, we perceive the world in and through it.”

Grammy and Emmy Award-winning ensemble Time for Three is redefining what a string trio can be. Blending classical music, Americana, pop, and singer-songwriter influences, TF3 captivates audiences with electrifying performances, extraordinary musicianship, and a sound uniquely their own.

The trio features Ranaan Meyer (double bass, vocals), Nick Kendall (violin, vocals), and Charles Yang (violin, vocals). Their Grammy-winning recording of Kevin Puts' Contact showcased the ensemble's remarkable artistry and genre-defying style, while their Emmy-winning PBS special introduced even more listeners to TF3's infectious energy and creativity.
