Regular entry deadline for HBC entries is Sunday, November 1st!

You must log in to your membership profile on the IBCA website, www.indianabeef.org to access the entry system. Be sure to check your membership to make sure it is paid through at least December 31, 2026 when you log in there as well. New members can create a new profile and pay their IBCA dues on the same webpage and then will have access to the entry system.

Specific animal information can be updated or changed in the Showman system up until November 29 with no penalty, as long as the entries are paid for by November 1. If you dont know yet which one you are bringing, just make an entry into either the heifer or steer show and get settled up via card or check postmarked by Nov 1. You can then go back into the system later to enter the animal info, once you decide for sure what you are bringing.

We encourage you to make your entries before the weekend as IBCA staff will not be in the office to answer questions!

We’re excited to welcome Lauren Kelly as the judge for this year’s event!

Lauren’s Riley story is one of strength, determination and overcoming obstacles!

In October 2015, Lauren Kelly was a six-year-old first grader when her life took an unexpected turn. What began as an illness became a serious medical crisis when Lauren was diagnosed with hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a rare and potentially life-threatening condition. Her family never learned the source of the E. coli associated with her illness, and an initial misdiagnosis delayed answers because the condition was so uncommon.

Lauren’s journey led her to Riley Children’s Hospital, where she spent a total of six weeks receiving specialized care. When her kidneys failed, the nephrology team became central to her treatment. Under the care of Dr. Khalid and the Riley team, Lauren underwent 24-hour dialysis for 14 days.

Her complications didn’t stop there. Lauren developed pancreatitis, which contributed to dangerously high blood pressure and seizures. At just six years old, she faced challenges that no child or family should have to experience.

Through it all, the team at Riley cared for Lauren during one of the most difficult chapters of her young life. Today, she has recovered without long-term complications from her illness and is thriving!

Now a high school senior, Lauren is looking ahead to an exciting future. After graduation, she plans to attend college and pursue a career in nursing. Perhaps her own experience receiving specialized medical care has helped shape her desire to one day care for others.

Lauren keeps busy both in and out of the classroom. She plays golf and tennis, participates in FFA, 4-H, and Junior Leaders, and is active in her church youth group. She also has a passion for showing cattle and serves on the Indiana Junior Beef Cattle Association Junior Board.

Today, Lauren is stepping into a new role as a Ringside for Riley judge. Her journey from a six-year-old Riley Kid to a young woman preparing for a future in nursing is a powerful reminder of the impact specialized pediatric care can have on a child’s life.

The little girl who once depended on the care of the Riley team is now preparing to make a difference in the lives of others. Through Ringside for Riley, Lauren is helping support the hospital that cared for her and the children and families who will need Riley in the years to come.

2026 Hoosier Beef Congress entries are open!

To make your entries:
1. Visit indianabeef.org and log in and renew your IBCA membership.
2. IBCA Membership must be valid through at least January 1, 2027 for each exhibitor’s household for them to be eligible to show at HBC.
3. Once signed in or created an account, you will find the link to our showman.app.
4. If you have any questions, please contact the IBCA office!

Regular entry deadline is November 1 and late entry deadline is November 20.

Who will be the 2026 Ringside for Riley Judge?

This is a special opportunity to represent Ringside for Riley and help raise awareness and support for Riley Hospital for Children!

The selected representative will:

🐮 Judge the 2026 Ringside for Riley Adult Showmanship Competition at the Hoosier Beef Congress alongside an adult judge
❤️ Have their Riley story shared through Ringside for Riley, IBCA, IJBCA, HBC social media and other media outlets
📣 Be featured in Ringside for Riley fundraising efforts benefiting Riley Hospital for Children
🤝 Help support Ringside for Riley fundraising efforts throughout the year

Who can apply?

Nominees must:
• Be 11-21 years old (must be IJBCA eligible)
• Have previously received or currently be receiving treatment at Riley Hospital for Children
• Have experience showing cattle
