This past week, Mogadishu Mile Kentucky current and former Directors Samuel Deeds and Troey Stout met in Europe to conduct a tour of WWI and WWII battle sites and cemeteries. The highlight of the trip was watching Director Deeds drink from Devil Dog fountain at Belleau, France and get the opportunity to raise the USMC flag at Belleau Wood battle site and raise and lower the American flags at both Normandy American Cemetery and at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery at Belleau Wood. Remembering and honoring the fallen is a life long commitment. We can never allow the world to forget our fallen brothers and sisters from all conflicts.
