10 years of The Black Box is approaching..

> The Evolution

Ten years of The Black Box means ten years of building, tearing down, and building again.

This room has never stopped evolving. We flipped the whole room to open up the space. We ripped out the bars. We ripped out the front entryway. We ripped out the men’s bathroom. We replaced rotted floors and hand pumped out the holes behind the bar where Jerry Garcia melted. Every time, it was a ton of sweat, a lot of dust, and a lot of hours, because the rooms deserved better and so did you.

The venue you walk into tonight isn’t the one we opened in 2016. It’s been rebuilt piece by piece by a team that cares about this room as much as you do.

Swipe to see how far it’s come.

Thank you for growing with us.

Next up on the countdown to 10 years of The Black Box..

> The Crews Who Built This

The Black Box has never been just about the artists on stage. It's about the people and crews who show up, put in the work, and help keep this culture alive.

Denver is home to so many incredible local crews, each bringing their own sound, vision, passion, and energy to the scene. They're the ones throwing parties, pushing new sounds, creating opportunities for artists, and building spaces where people feel like they belong.

These crews aren't just part of our calendar. They're part of who we are.

For 10 years, we've been proud to give them a place to grow, experiment, and do what they love. And in return, they've helped shape The Black Box into what it is today.

We stand tall because of the community that stands with us.

To every local crew that's been part of our journey, past and present, thank you for believing in what we're building and helping us keep the underground alive.
