Al has infiltrated every corner of our virtual lives. Want to get away from it? Get back into Real Life!

Real Life offers entertainment Al just can’t replicate. Like literal humans making art right in front of you! Sometimes they even talk to you directly! Music! Stories! All 100% made in reality.

*Disclaimer: No part of this video was made with Al. Except I don’t actually know if that’s true because the concept is so broad and has so thoroughly permeated everything digital, it’s really hard to say.

Easily one of the most fun parts of making immersive experiences is the worldbuilding/set building/crafting part. Just yesterday we started crafting two stumps, a “fairytale” style bucket, and giving this lovely formally blacklight mushroom, (generously loaned to us by Katya Nunez ) a more fantasy vibe.

We’ll be using these pieces at our Beasts and Wonders Gala Ball on Oct 10th, and the Mythological Petting Zoo event THIS Saturday in Denver.

The Van Helsing Society has become simply overrun with all manner of mythological creatures! 🐉🐙🧜🏻‍♀️🦧

These creatures have come from all over the globe to meet young adventurers who are keen to learn all about them 🔎, build fairy houses 🧚 , and fill out their own Creature Passport 📖 !

Stop by The Audacious Space this Saturday the 12th anytime between 11:00am and 2:00pm to see what creatures you can cozy up to!

And don’t blame Trygve the troll for saying the times wrong, numbers aren’t his strong suit. 😅🧌

The mystical creatures of Audacious Immersive are busy getting ready to meet you all in ONE WEEK!

The Van Helsing Society is welcoming supernatural conservationists of all ages to get up close and personal with these fantastical creatures. Throughout this three-hour open-house-style event, guests can come and go at their own pace as they meet a collection of fantastical creatures and the knowledgeable handlers responsible for their care. Get an up-close look at a (not too scary!) serpent dragon, a troll, a baby kraken and more! Hear the stories and legends surrounding them, and learn a little about what it takes to safely interact with these magical inhabitants of our world.

Young adventurers can make even more of their visit with optional activities available throughout the event, including filling in their own Creature Passport, building a fairy house, and storytelling performances!

Be sure to grab your tickets for the event before the troll does!

The Pùca is a shapshifting creature that is found primarily in Ireland. It can be a tricky sort of creature who can change into many forms, often playing jokes or taking wandering travelers on wild rides.

Our creature handler is Saga, one of the Huldufólk — the hidden fae-like creatures of Iceland (sometimes called elves) They live in an alternate dimension within the rocks and boulders of Iceland. They are typically quite shy, although have been known to cause mischief to humans that disturb their homes. But they are just as likely to be kind of humans, healing them or causing dreams that warn of danger.

Both of these typically elusive creatures will be at our Mythological Petting Zoo on Sept 12 at the Audacious Space in Denver!

No shade. Too many questions are still unanswered about Denver Immersive Repertory Theater (DIRT) and what their immersive business plan actually was. But we would just like to just clarify that there is indeed an immersive venue in Denver that is currently operating...even if it’s not at the scale that DIRT planned. Their plan involved taking over a huge retail location in downtown Denver. It was ambitious...and it looks like ultimately not doable.

Our immersive venue business plan might not be splashy, and it might have had a much long timeline. But at the end of the day we think we have a key ingredient that DIRT did not - a community.

A community is not built overnight. It’s built over time, with respect, and trust.

For August, we’ll be channeling our inner Jorogumo spider to create lovely beaded spiderweb embroidery designs. You can use one of our patterns or create your own!

Only $35 to participate, and that includes a mocktail and all materials. If you prefer to bring your own crafting project and just enjoy the fantasy crafting vibes and community, you’re welcome to join us free of charge!
