👑 Do you have what it takes to be the next Miss LifeWalk?

🫵 We’re looking for fierce contestants who are passionate about community healthcare to compete in our annual Miss LifeWalk Pageant on October 4 at Station 4.

✨ Each contestant will receive a $200 stipend, and the winner of Miss LifeWalk 2026 will receive an additional $500, plus a fabulous sash and crown.

‼️ The deadline to apply is September 9. Visit phntx.org/mlwapplication to apply.

Spots are limited, and all applications will be reviewed by the Miss LifeWalk committee. Contestants selected to compete will be notified by email.

Clover Classic Putt-putt bar crawl is returning on August 22! ⛳

🏌️ WHAT IS CLOVER CLASSIC?
A miniature golf tournament hosted by the Cedar Springs Merchant Association. Navigate your way through businesses and bars on the Cedar Springs strip in teams of four, where custom putt-putt holes will be set up. The team with the best score will win $1,000!

💜 WHAT IT BENEFITS
Clover Classic is a fundraiser for Prism Health North Texas. Proceeds will be used to help increase access to affirming local healthcare.

A new HIV treatment option is on the way, and our clinical research team helped make it possible. As one of 32 sites in a global trial, Prism Health North Texas continues to play a role in advancing care and expanding options for people living with HIV.

Prism Health North Texas, a community health center, participated in clinical trials for Merck's new HIV treatment, Idvynso. It could help address a drug resistance that's been on the rise in low- and middle-income countries.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Joey Avila, a longtime member of our community and a dedicated board member of Prism Health North Texas.

Joey’s service was rooted in a broad commitment to equity, justice, and community access. For nearly three decades, he was an outspoken advocate who used his voice and time to create meaningful change, supporting the HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ communities, advancing initiatives within the Black community, and volunteering to improve access to healthcare.

His dedication was evident in everything he did, from raising critical funds for organizations across North Texas to staying actively engaged with the City of Dallas through the Citizens Police Academy and service on city committees.

Joey will be remembered for the lasting impact he made, his kind and gentle spirit, and his unwavering passion for advocacy. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.

We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
