Our volunteers are pivotal in helping the festival run smoothly - from attending the parking lot to transporting vendor goods to helping out in the kids’ zone. There are opportunities for everyone!

This quote, widely attributed to LGBTQ+ advocate Dan Savage, reminds us of something that is easy to forget: joy is not the opposite of struggle. Sometimes, it’s what helps us survive it.

During one of the most devastating periods in LGBTQ+ history, people found strength in music, community, celebration, and connection. Those moments of joy weren’t an escape from reality—they were a way of protecting mental health, nurturing hope, and finding the courage to keep going.

Today, many LGBTQ+ people still face challenges that can impact mental well-being, from discrimination and isolation to grief and uncertainty. That’s why spaces for community, self-expression, and joy remain so important.

Music has a unique way of carrying us through difficult times. It can remind us who we are, connect us to each other, and help us feel less alone.
