Celebrating 25 years of the Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate and the Amphitheatre Summer Concert Series in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, with a stellar lineup of Canadian artists and a brand-new Meyer Sound system built to deliver an intimate, powerful listening experience.

Working with our exclusive Canadian distributor GerrAudio Distribution, the new system provided by Phase 3 AV Toronto features a center cluster of three ULTRA-X80s, four ULTRA-X80s, and six 900-LFCs on the deck, along with our ULTRA-X20s providing down fill and front fill support.

Jeff Hawkins, Estate Manager at Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate, had this to say about the new system, stating that “Meyer Sound has been an important part of the Jackson-Triggs Amphitheatre experience, delivering the clarity, consistency and impact needed to showcase some of Canada’s best artists in such an intimate setting. Thousands celebrated the legacy of the Grateful Dead last weekend with the Golden Gate Free Jam, a concert by Grahame Lesh and Friends, embracing the Dead’s timeless music and thriving community in San Francisco. Our decades-long relationship continues with the next generation as founding member Phil Lesh’s son Grahame carries the music forward and continues the tradition of choosing Meyer Sound solutions.

UltraSound, LLC provided a LEOPARD system for the event which also kicked off the opening of Forever Grateful, a special park exhibit dedicated to the band, its fans and culture. The exhibit’s centerpiece is the Furthur bus that inspired Tom Wolfe’s novel The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. A second exhibit at the Haight Street Art Center includes a model of 1:4 scale replica of the Wall of Sound as well as a collection of artwork, instruments, and memorabilia.

"The band and Meyer Sound share DNA when it comes to audio innovation and quality sound,” says Ian DuBois of UltraSound who handled mixing duties at the park. “UltraSound also shares in this decades long relationship and the fans have come to rely on us to deliver an epic show.”

From September 1–3, a three-day Meyer Sound system training was held at VAS centra in Beijing, bringing together audio professionals for hands-on learning and technical exchange.

The sessions covered the complete workflow of Meyer Sound system design, integration, and optimization — from GALAXY 816, Compass, and MAPP 3D to TIGRA system integration and rigging, Nebra 2 workflows, low-frequency system design, and system tuning.

The training took place at VAS centra in Beijing’s Shougang Park, a venue with a capacity of more than 2,000. Its main sound system features 24 PANTHER line arrays paired with 12 2100-LFCs, delivering powerful, controlled, and consistent coverage throughout the venue.

Three days of training may be over, but learning continues through every system design, setup, and show.

TCU Place, a convention center and performing arts complex in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is home to the first permanent Meyer Sound TIGRA line array system in Canada. The new system, provided by Meyer Sound Canadian distributor GerrAudio Distribution and installed by Canadian integrator Sapphire AV, serves the 2,074-capacity Sid Buckwold Theatre, the venue’s main hall.

Nebra 2.6 is available now! The new Auto Input Failover feature enables GEN-1 equipped loudspeakers to automatically switch to the analog input if the digital signal is disrupted. Full of performance and stability improvements, this release also introduces support for 1800-LFC.

For the 26th year, Meyer Sound is back as the Signature Sponsor and Cinema Sound Partner of the prestigious Telluride Film Festival. This year, the Werner Herzog Theatre will feature our ASTRYA-140 screen channel loudspeakers with Dolby Atmos immersive sound for the first time. The temporary venue is located at Hanley Ice Rink in Telluride's Town Park, but every year it is converted into a site for premier cinema experiences.

Meyer Sound has named John McMahon chief operating officer, expanding a leadership role that has steadily expanded over his 20 years with the company.

“We push our products to perform at an extremely high level, and we’re pushing ourselves to perform at that same level from a business perspective,” says McMahon. “That means the way we operate has to scale with where we’re growing.”
