Austin Angers Sister Cities

Austin Angers Sister Cities Bridging Austin and Angers—Celebrating culture, community, and collaboration across continents. Non-profit organization.

The Austin-Angers connection: Austin Angers sister cities organization! Linking Central Texas & the Loire Valley. In 2012, Austin, Texas and Angers, France became sister cities. Intrigued by the new connection, a delegation of event producers came to SXSW to network and explore possible partnerships and Austin Angers Music was born. Since that first Spring, Austin Angers Music expanded to encompas

s many elements of the creative industries including film, food & wine, and tech. Our partnership continues to develop relationships and exchanges with musicians, chefs, directors and businesses. In addition to the creative exchanges, this relationship has fostered the development of Levitation France, Austin Psych Fest’s first European festival, and the formation of the French American Business Council of Austin. In September 2015 a team of Texas musicians, chefs and entrepreneurs traveled to Angers to celebrate the 2nd Annual “Austin Week” and in November, we will continue with “Angers French Market Day” to showcase French musicians, film makers, artists, chefs, sports, and culture to the Austin community. In 2023, Austin Angers Sister cities launched the first edition of la fete de la musique in Austin.

✨ TBT to yesterday!!! ✨

Our Austin-Angers committee members had the absolute pleasure of meeting Alex and Tom from 🇫🇷🇺🇸

They shared insights from their new book 📖, brought great energy, and took the time to connect with the francophile community, answering questions, exchanging ideas, and spreading those French vibes we love so much 🥐✨

Moments like these are what our community is all about: connection, culture, and a little bit of joie de vivre ❤️

Merci Alex & Tom for such a special time in Austin, come back soon!

We’ve noticed a clear trend in contemporary French cinema toward historically rooted thrillers — L'AFFAIRE BOJARSKI-The MONEy MAKER is a perfect example — and we bring that momentum to our curated screenings. With two years of curation behind us, we choose films that offer suspense, context, and emotional depth, then shape an immersive viewing experience for US-based independant movie lovers. Join us to explore why this trend matters and how our upcoming selections bring history and tension to the screen. Reserve your seat: https://wix.to/OPcsgeb 🎬😊

🤘 Hook ’em Horns! 🤘

What do Austin and Angers have in common? (Besides great vibes and a beautiful river.)
That unmistakable burnt orange spirit—Austin with the Longhorns, and Angers with Cointreau, crafted from vibrant, juicy oranges.

If your brand aligns with good energy, refined taste, and a bold Texas flair, let’s create something unforgettable together. Become a partner for our signature event: La Fête de la Musique.
