No matter how experienced you are (or inexperienced) you’ll make mistakes. You’ll get it wrong. And that’s ok as long as you learn from them and pivot quickly. Getting down on yourself doesn’t help you grow. Mistakes make you better. I used to beat myself up when I got it wrong. Now I bounce back a lot quicker. But it took some time to get to here.

I ran a ‘First 50’ ticket promotion and counted down as tickets sold. What I didn’t realize? People thought we were selling out completely — not just closing a promotion.

I didn’t figure it out until people started congratulating me on selling out. That’s when I realized … wait. That’s why ticket sales went quiet.

We are not sold out.

Play like no one is watching! Remember that while building something (a festival 😉, a business, a family, a project, a life) that fun - just for you - needs to be centered too!

While out for a run in Chicago I discovered this empty playground and decided to randomly play in it on my own.

I had so much fun. I felt so free. I rarely do this btw. So as I reconnected with my inner child I decided to capture the moment and share it with you as reminder for you to do the same.

Go play. She needs you. 🫶

I’m learning how to skateboard. And I’m bad at it.

Some days it clicks and I think I’ve got it. Then I show up next time and my feet forgot everything. Back to falling. Back to the beginning.

What keeps me coming back is Thanks to 3 very special women. and and of course where is all started - 💛

They’ve built something rare — a skate community where every woman belongs, no matter how wobbly. Where the beginner gets cheered just as loud as the one landing tricks. Honestly, it’s girl therapy. So good for the soul.

Being willing to suck at something out loud, and getting back up anyway. Turns out, that’s the same thing building anything takes, and it’s so much easier surrounded by women who make it feel safe instead of scary.

Thank you for being that for me. 🛹
