Julie Nolen is a Texas-based singer-songwriter whose music blends the raw storytelling of country and folk with the grit of rock & roll. Born and raised under the wide-open skies of West Texas, her songs carry the dust of long highways, the howl of desert winds, and the resilience of those who carve out a life in the middle of nowhere. With a voice that cuts straight to the heart and lyrics that explore love, loss, and longing, she crafts songs that feel both deeply personal and universally true.
Julie has spent years carving out a name for herself on the road, performing in h***y-tonks, listening rooms, and festivals across the country. As a proud voice in q***r country, she brings an authentic perspective to the genre, proving that country music is for everyone. Her sound is a perfect storm of classic country influences, modern Americana, and a touch of outlaw spirit—think Lucinda Williams meets Brandi Carlile with a Lone Star twist.
In 2025 and 2026, Julie was an official SXSW artist, showcasing her dynamic live performance in Austin, TX. This year, she is rolling out a highly anticipated five-song project with a waterfall release strategy, leading up to a full EP drop in time for AmericanaFest in September. The lead single, “Love Me When I’m Leaving,” sets the tone for a collection of songs that explore the beauty and heartbreak of moving on.
Whether she’s playing an intimate acoustic set or commanding a full band on stage, Julie Nolen delivers music that’s as honest as it is powerful. Her songs aren’t just heard—they’re felt.

💥Melissa Carper & Bonnie Montgomery

Celebrated for her profoundly observational lyrics, her “homespun sensibility,” and a voice that curls like a croon from a gramophone, Melissa Carper plays old school country music that resonates across time and place. Carper’s repertoire weaves together the threads of old-time, bluegrass, western swing, jazz, and blues that all intertwined to form American country music, back in the days before the recording industry drew artificial lines and slapped on race-based genre labels. Veteran Nashville musician Chris Scruggs highlighted Carper’s versatile traditionalism when he dubbed her “HillBillie Holiday,” declaring, “She’s as good as it gets.

Bonnie Montgomery has always had a big voice. Raised on southern gospel, Texas swing, Delta blues, and Ozark bluegrass, she trained as an opera singer before launching her award-winning career in outlaw country. Paste Magazine praises her timeless songwriting. Dale Watson calls her “a sophisticated badass who was born to sing.” Even so, she’s never sung quite as compellingly as she does on the eclectic, electrifying River.

💥Steph Cash

Steph Cash is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Virginia. Cash is currently based in Austin, TX, but spent a lot of time in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where she learned about country music. When it comes to writing songs, Cash brings the sounds of true Texas h***y tonk music with a country outlaw twist to her listener’s ears. Cash began breaking into the Texas Country Music scene in 2022 with a full band behind her. Cash and her band recorded and released a few singles in 2022, to include “”Country Music”” before releasing a full album in January of 2023 titled “”Where I’ve Been””.

Wiley Gaby is a Brooklyn-based Americana singer-songwriter who brings classic country tradition into conversation with modern q***r life. His angelic voice and heart-baring songs offer listeners something rare: heartbreak that feels both timeless and urgent, steeped in Dolly Parton’s h***y-tonk storytelling and Neko Case’s narrative power, filtered through the lens of growing up q***r in rural North Florida. Raised in the woods of Wakulla County, Wiley now channels that weight of church pews and country roads, of knee-scraping lessons learned as a country boy in the city, into tear-stained vocals that bridge the rural South and Brooklyn’s grit. Partnering with Mississippi’s Dial Back Sound (helmed by Matt Patton of Drive-By Truckers, Dexateens), Wiley released his debut single “”IDGAF No More”” on February 13, followed by a coast-to-coast US tour and a full album later in the year.
