Punk Rock Olympics The Punk Rock Olympics is a marathon of music & hilarious semi-competitive events, bringing various parts of our punk rock community together!

The 2nd annual Punk Rock Olympics was a 3 day festival in Austin TX. There were 20+ bands accompanied by “sport” events combining hilarious competitions and activities with punk rock music, art, and culture. It was designed to be a gathering of the various punk communities. Past sponsors and vendors included: Riot Rags, BK Hair by Bobby Kleman, Birds Barbershop, Metalwork Austin, and more. We also had Austin’s punk rock Art Market, Satan’s Cheerleaders, and others join us for the fun. Sports have included: Wheelbarrow races, Mosh Pit Musical Chairs, Leaky Bucket Races, Name that tune, and a Big Stage Dive competition! In the original passing of the flame, we had a very untraditional opening ceremony that involved a Man on Fire, a former olympian, and a brass band. Year 1 & 2 was great, were looking forward to bringing you more of everything soon!
