Introducing our special guest host for the September showcase: Hollis Lapree Edwards III
Hollis L. Edwards III is a stage-trained actor and stunt professional, a Dallas native based in Austin, Texas.
He appears in Cyrielle Raingou's I'm Coming For You (StudioCanal), where he also served as head stunt coordinator and military advisor, performing the role in French as the only American on the Cameroon-based production. The film won the Walker+Worm First Cut+ Award at Filmfest München and headlined the African works-in-progress slate at the inaugural TIFF Market in 2026. He co-stars in the adventure-horror feature The Relic: Dragon, a 2026 FilmQuest selection and led the award-winning short 50 Ways to Kill Your Lover (2023).
On stage he played the title role in The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity at Zach Theatre, earning a B. Iden Payne nomination, James Hemings in Suzan-Lori Parks' Sally & Tom, and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
A U.S. Marine Corps infantry veteran (0341), NAGA gold medalist and certified stunt driver, he is most often cast as capable men losing control of something. The possessed, the programmed, the compromised.
