FESPA 2026 is in the books and the future has officially arrived.

What a phenomenal time in Barcelona. We opened the doors and showed the global digital print industry exactly what 90 years of continuous innovation looks like in the digital age.

The energy was electric as we officially unveiled KYVERIS, our continuously learning production intelligence system. Built on nearly a century of Durst engineering, KYVERIS isn’t just a product; it’s the smarter, faster technological foundation defining the next era of .

Key highlights from Day One:
- The KYVERIS Sandbox: Attendees got hands-on with the future of digital print production intelligence.
- The Visionary Gallery: History came to life as our live gallery of visionaries (including Lovelace, Turing, and Gutenberg) printed in real-time.
- Deep-Dive Sessions: Our team hosted packed sessions, talking strategy on how to scale digital print production.

FESPA proved that when you combine groundbreaking technology with nearly a century of engineering, you write the future of print.

8 Minds That Changed Our World 🧠🎨

OUR WORLD IS PRINTED. Yet, we aren’t just printing images; we are printing a lineage of innovation. These are the minds that built the foundations of the digital and industrial world we inhabit today. From the first movable type to the first line of code, their stories are our inspiration.

💻 Ada Lovelace – The first computer programmer
🤖 Alan Turing – The father of theoretical computer science and AI
👩‍💻 Grace Hopper – The pioneer of computer programming languages
⚙️ Joseph Marie Jacquard – Pioneer of the programmable loom
🏔️ Julius Durst – The visionary behind Durst
📡 Norbert Wiener – The founder of Cybernetics
📖 Johannes Gutenberg – The father of the printing press
🔌 Konrad Zuse – Inventor of the first functional program-controlled computer

Thank you to everyone who visited the Durst booth at FESPA to see these icons being printed live, a tribute to 90 years of innovation built on centuries of genius. 🚀✨

Where the journey began. 🎞️

In 1938, the Durst Gil arrived as a symbol of precision and accessible imaging. Born in our home of Brixen, Italy, this iconic box camera was one of the early milestones in our 90-year history of innovation.

The History: The Gil was designed to bring high-quality photography to a wider audience. It used 6x9 format film and featured a distinctive, sturdy design that became a hallmark of Durst engineering. It wasn’t just a camera; it was a promise of reliability that helped establish Durst as a leader in the world of analog optics.

The Creation:
- Tactile Engineering: Known for its robust build and elegant « Gil » script, it represented the peak of pre-war industrial design.

- The Foundation: The technical lessons learned from the Gil’s lens and shutter systems eventually paved the way for our transition into world-class digital production technology.

We celebrate the Gil not just as a piece of our past, but as the DNA of every machine we build today. It’s a reminder that great innovation starts with a single, perfect capture.

Total control. From a single point of intelligence. 🕹️

For 90 years, we’ve mastered the physics of print. Now, we’re mastering the data. Managing a global production ecosystem shouldn’t be a manual process, it should be a competitive advantage.

We are centralizing the power of your entire operation into a single point of intelligence. No more silos, no more blind spots. Just total visibility and the freedom to focus on growth.

The KYVERIS Sandbox is alive at FESPA.

One platform. Infinite possibilities.

Printing at the speed of thought. ⚡️

Innovation is only as fast as its ex*****on.

In a global market defined by « on-demand » expectations, the gap between a vision and its physical realization is the difference between leading and following. We are closing that gap.

At Durst, we have engineered Industrial Intelligence for Digital Print Production designed to eliminate the friction in your workflow. We aren’t just accelerating machines; we are accelerating the speed of business by aligning technology with the human imagination.

The evolution of digital print production arrives at FESPA.
Prepare to move beyond the limits of traditional manufacturing.

KYVERIS. The speed of thought, industrialized.

What if the factory had a brain? The evolution of manufacturing is no longer mechanical, it is cognitive. 🧠

ONE SYSTEM. CONNECTIVITY. DATA. INTELLIGENCE.

For decades, the industry has chased automation. At Durst, we are moving beyond it. We are introducing a new era of « aware » production, where technology doesn’t just execute tasks, but understands the heartbeat of your entire operation.

Imagine a central intelligence layer that harmonizes every machine, every shift, and every job into a single, proactive ecosystem. This is the transition from a connected factory to an intelligent one.

The future of digital production has a new nerve center. Join us at FESPA for a peek into KYVERIS.

What started as a small idea has become a permanent part of our daily lives: since 2021, the Durst Group premises in Brixen have been buzzing with life! 🐝

The driving force behind this project is Stefan Brugger. Not only is he our Maintenance Team Leader, but he has also been a passionate beekeeper for over 25 years. With dedication and care, he manages our eight bee colonies right here on-site.
The highlight of the year? The honey harvest! Once a year, Stefan harvests our homegrown honey – for us, the ultimate proof that sustainability and biodiversity can start right on our own doorstep.

Thank you for spending time with us at Expográfica Guadalajara 2026. It was a pleasure connecting, exchanging ideas, and having inspiring conversations about where our industry is headed.

One of the highlights was seeing the Tau G3 Core in action and sharing how it combines precision, colour accuracy and smarter production control to support real production needs in a practical and powerful way.

Great technology is important, but what makes events like this special are the people, conversations, and shared energy that bring it all to life. Thank you for being part of it.
