Alpen Classica SaxFest

Alpen Classica Saxfest is the first Euregio Festival dedicated to the youngest wind instrument discovered.

The first edition will be in Tirol, Innsbruck in collaboration with the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck. Concerts for the students, concerts of the teachers, masterclasses and different workshops will be the main events of the festival.

A fun fact about Lars Mlekusch 🎷
As a teenager, the Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer was his big idol. He even met her backstage at an open-air concert in Switzerland, got her autograph and, on the spot, he memorized the serial number of her saxophone. That number then became his PIN for his bank cards for years to come. 😄

A fun fact about Michael Krenn 🎷
As a child, he was given a CD of Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony as a present and was immediately captivated by the wonderful alto saxophone solo in the second movement. His goal: ‘One day, I’ll play that…’ Years later, he realised it was actually a French horn. Quite a shock 😂
