Today was the final day of YEFest 2026.

We want to say thank you to everyone who organised or attended one of the over 100 events that were held this year. 🦋

In the coming weeks we will reflect on the festival, and what comes next.

Can you believe its Week Four already? 💚

There are plenty of fantastic events to take part of in the final week of York Environment Festival 2026.

🍎 Please Note - due to the stormy weather this weekend (24th and 25th October) Apple Day celebrations at Homestead Park have been postponed until November 1st. Apple Day celebrations at Scarcroft Green may also be postponed - watch this space for updates.

What happens when we put people around the same table? We're about to find out.

On Saturday 3 October, we're bringing York together for York Long Table - a community meal with good food, good conversation and some interesting people around the table. Proudly part of York Environment Festival 2026

Inspired by Denmark's social dining culture, this is a chance to meet people you might not normally meet, hear from local growers and producers, enjoy a meal prepared by Yahala Mataam CIC, and talk about the future of food in York.

No formal meeting · No speeches · No expertise required

Just come, eat, talk and see what conversations emerge.

Everyone is welcome - whether you come alone, with friends or with family.
