Firstly big thanks for inspiration from and credit to for his Desk Radar. Thought I'd use to help do the heavy lifting of the code to create my version that uses the touch screen features to show the plane details and also create a WiFi access point to allow different WiFi connections to be added and your own post code and distance you want to scan. Now off to crest a 3D printed holder to put it on the desk.

A little glimpse of a work in progress, creating a new method of storage within the tool boxes. Allowing custom storage to be made for all of the sizes of Makpac boxes! All to be printed in a near perfect colour match too! let us know if you want a bespoke piece of kit outfitted!

Proud to produce this stunning LED light box for our customer. Will hopefully take pride of place at the next car show!

Had a little run of these lovely birdhouses. Hopefully get them to their new owners over the weekend.

🚀 Proud to Be Volunteering at SMRRF 2026

I’m proud to be volunteering at SMRRF 2026 (SanJay Mortimer RepRap Festival) taking place on the Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th March 2026 with the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation!

https://www.sanjaymortimerfoundation.org/smrrf2026

Sanjay, co-founder of E3D, wasn’t just part of the 3D printing movement — he helped shape it.

The technology he helped design and champion proliferates through today’s machines. The 3D Printers many of us use every day — across hobby, education and industry — simply wouldn’t exist in the form they do without his work in hotend design, extrusion systems and open engineering.

SMRRF carries that legacy forward.

This isn’t just another 3D printing event.

Expect:
🤖 Robotics
🛠️ Experimental engineering builds
🎥 Live knowledge sharing
🧠 Proper community atmosphere

🖨️ 1-2-1 3D Printing Masterclass

This weekend we ran a personalised 1-2-1 3D printing masterclass for a young, upcoming talent looking to take their skills to the next level.

We covered everything from understanding different printer types and materials, right through to slicer deep-dives, troubleshooting failed prints, colour remapping, and essential printer maintenance.

No classrooms. No rushed groups.
Just hands-on learning, real machines, and real-world experience — tailored to the individual.

While this session was with a younger learner, these 1-2-1 sessions are suitable for all ages — whether you’re just getting started, returning to the hobby, or looking to improve existing skills.

If this is something you’d like to know more about, feel free to drop a message to register your interest or to see when the next session might be running.

Proud to be supporting the next generation of makers — and lifelong learners — right here in Worksop 🇬🇧

🎄 A little bit of Christmas magic… powered by 3D printing 🖨️

Two days before Christmas, a local family were building a child’s bike and realised a vital part was missing.

No spares.
No time to order.
Potential Christmas disaster.

So they knocked on the door.

On December 23rd, the part was:

Designed from scratch in Fusion 360

3D printed in SUNLU PETG

Ready by lunchtime

Bike saved.
Christmas saved. 🎅✨

This is exactly why local businesses matter — real people, real problems, real solutions, right when they’re needed.

Proudly Made in Worksop 🇬🇧
Helping local people when it counts most.

If you’re stuck, short on time, or need something made now — send a message.
If it can be designed and printed, we’ll do our best to help.

🔧 Local Collaboration at Its Best

From an initial concept based on the dimensions of a manufacturer’s installation guide, approached Worksop 3D Workshop to design a precision drilling jig to assist with cutting tiles for cistern installations — improving accuracy, reliability, and installation efficiency.

After confirming the prototype was fully functional and production-ready, BTS Tools added their distinctive branding and finishing touches. The result? A refined collaboration of functionality and design that went straight from 3D print to retail — now available as the Pan Planner Wall Hung Frame Jig
at btstools.co.uk

At Worksop 3D Workshop, we take pride in supporting local businesses by transforming ideas into tangible, high-quality products through our 3D design and printing expertise — all developed right here in Worksop.

🎥 Be sure to check out for videos showcasing the jig in action and see the final product performing exactly as intended.

💡 If you’re a local business with a product idea, prototype, or tool concept, we’d love to collaborate and help you bring it to life — from design to retail-ready results.
