Earlier this month, our Production Park Member Event brought together tenants, staff, Academy of Live Technology students and alumni from across Production Park for an evening of conversation, connection and shared experience.

Alongside food, drinks and a few competitive rounds of Crash Bandicoot on the LED wall, Members heard from the xplor team, who shared demonstrations of recent innovation work taking place across the campus. The evening also created space for alumni to reconnect with industry peers, discuss current projects, and explore new career opportunities across the wider network.

These events are designed to strengthen the relationships, collaboration and knowledge-sharing that sit at the heart of the Production Park ecosystem.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a drink, a catch-up, and a chance to hear more about the latest developments at Production Park after a busy first day.

It’s always a pleasure bringing together so many people from across the industry and seeing those conversations continue beyond the exhibition floor.

Earlier this month, we welcomed YungBlud and his team as they prepared for the UK & Ireland leg of the Idols world tour.

After initial band rehearsals at our London studio, The Mill, the production moved north to our campus where full-scale rehearsals took over Studio 005. From lighting and staging to final show moments, everything came together right here before heading out on the road.

It’s the same space that, earlier this year, hosted an logistics masterclass, where students got hands-on experience with a trailer now touring with the show. A small glimpse into the real-world environment that surrounds them every day at Production Park.

Before heading out, YungBlud also signed our Wall of Fame, joining the long list of global artists who choose Production Park to prepare for the stage.

Production Manger: Jake Mazzuca

Three weeks on from SXSW, with the stages packed down and the team back on home soil, it’s time to reflect on another standout year for the British Music Embassy.

We caught up with Sam Wilkinson, BME Stage Manager and Studio Operations Manager at Production Park, to get his take on this year’s experience:

“Another March passes and another British Music Embassy @ SXSW successfully delivered by our crack team of crew and ALT students. And whilst the wider world outlook might feel slightly uncertain, one thing is for sure - the Great British creative sector, and the emerging talent coming out of the UK, is the strongest it’s ever been.

With a team of 5 Academy of Live Technology (ALT) UK and 2 ALT US students working alongside industry professionals and Production Park, we showcased nearly 60 artists in a condensed version of SXSW for the second year at Palm Door on the 6th.

The show wasn’t without its challenges (as any inner-city music festival brings) but our students rose above, proving themselves a real credit to their institutes.

While the artists represent the next generation of British musical talent, our students are the ones who will be lighting them, managing their production and making them sound incredible for years to come.

SXSW remains a hotbed of creative exchange, giving our team insight into emerging trends across music, film & TV, gaming, advertising and XR. Understanding both the technology and the wider social and economic forces shaping these industries helps us see where the next wave of arena-scale talent will come from - like Sam Fender, Olivia Dean or The 1975 before them. With artists like Adult DVD, Blair Davie, MT Jones, KOJ, Mae Muller and Meek among this year’s highlights, the future of British music feels in very safe hands.

It’s also important to recognise the role of grassroots and independent venues in that journey. These spaces are where artists cut their teeth and where future touring careers begin. Alongside our industry partners, we’re proud to help power the next generation of live and creative professionals and to play a part in supporting the ecosystem that makes it all possible.”

Thanks again to all the industry partners who supported the BME stages this year:
Allen & Heath , Ashdown , Creative Technology , dBTechnologies , DPA Microphones , ELATION Lighting , Marshall Group , Natal Drums , Wisycom srl

The British Music Embassy stages at SXSW are now in full swing, and the team have been busy powering the stages hosting some of the British exports tipped to be the next big thing.

Supporting both the outdoor and indoor stages, and working alongside ALT students from our UK and US campuses, the team have been ensuring every show runs smoothly.

A huge thank you once again to our incredible production partners who help make it all possible.

We’re getting ready to head back to Austin to support the iconic British Music Embassy stages at SXSW once again.

Our Production Park team will be flying out to help power the stages, working alongside students from the Academy of Live Technology and our brilliant industry partners to help bring the showcases to life.

Before the action begins, here are just a few highlights from last year, an incredible week celebrating some of the very best British talent as they stepped onto the American and global stage.

If you’re heading to SXSW this year, we’d love you to stop by the British Music Embassy stages and see the action up close.

And don’t miss the BME Production Partners Brunch, the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the Production Park & Academy of Live Technology team and get hands-on with the latest innovations from the industry-leading manufacturers whose support helps make the British Music Embassy possible.
