We’ve been working with Tom for a lot of years but he hadn’t made an appearance at the festival since all the way back in 2022. In the time since then he’s built up a lot of momentum and we felt the time was just right for him to take up a headline slot this year.

We knew we were in for a good one but what we didn’t know until the very last minute was he’d be bringing Finn Forster along with him - one of the all time great TGS memories seeing two of the North-East’s future stars up on stage together and a very welcome surprise 🤝

The best is yet to come from the Sunderland sensation, until next time ❤️

Overpass.

Our first booking of the festival is always the big one and this might just have been our most anticipated headliner yet. Sometimes you just know when you’ve got the right act and over the summer we watched them explode as they crept towards releasing their debut album and by the time it dropped we just knew we were in for a really special set.

This was a pretty meaningful headliner for us at TGS. We’ve partnered with This Feeling on the festival for a lot of years now and seeing a band go from the middle of their lineup in 2022 to a stage headliner in 2024 and finally a festival headliner in 2026 is what that partnership is all about and a journey complete that we hope more acts can follow in years to come.

So thanks to overpass for the memories and congrats on all the success so far and still to come 🩵

In an alternate reality you might have been watching these guys at our 2025 festival but sometimes you just can’t make it work. Fortunately when it came to booking acts for this year they were one of the first names on our list and we had the perfect spot for them as our KU Stockton stage closer 💥

Worth every second of the wait, not a set we’ll be forgetting anytime soon and not hard to see what all the hype is about 🔥

With a new album on the horizon and sold out dates up and down the country to end the year it feels like the beginning of something very special for the Irish talent factory’s latest big export, keep an eye on these guys 👀

A huge thank you from all of the TGS team for an amazing 2026 edition. A lot of time, effort and passion goes into making this event what it is and it means an awful lot to see everyone out there enjoying the new music we all love so much.

As always we couldn’t put this event on without a long list of contributors so we’d like to say a special thanks to the teams at ARC, The Georgian Theatre and The Link; This Feeling; Northern Academy of Music Education; Jon Corbett; Glen Adkins; Pete Allinson; the brilliant media team who captured the event; Jacob and the Fatsoma team; Apollo Arts; Tees Valley Combined Authority; Stockton Borough Council; Stockton BID and Sonic Futures along with all the production and venue staff that kept everything running along smoothly and, of course, all the amazing artists that gave us so much music to enjoy through the day.

Last but certainly not least we’d like to thank all of you for getting your tickets, turning up and making this festival a reality once again.

For now the team will be moving our focus towards Stockton Calling and our other projects at KU STOCKTON but look forward to some great content in the coming days recapping our favourite time of the year.
