We just need a few more marshals for Southend Triathlon this Sunday, 21st June.

Is there anyone out there who can spare a few hours and help us make race day happen?

You do not need experience, just a friendly face, a bit of common sense and a willingness to support the athletes. We have various roles around the event, and full guidance will be given.

Events like this rely massively on people stepping forward. Every marshal makes a difference, whether you are helping direct athletes, supporting the finish area, assisting around transition, or simply being part of the race day team.

Entries are still open, but once they close, our team will begin preparing and sending out all final race instructions.
📧 All final race information will be emailed to participants by Monday evening following entries closing.

Please keep an eye on your inbox and remember to check your spam/junk folder so you don't miss any important information.
Your final instructions will include key timings, registration details, transition information, course guidance and everything you need to be fully prepared for race day.

🚨 SOUTHEND TRIATHLON MARSHALS NEEDED 🚨

On Sunday 21st June 2026 we bring the Southend Triathlon back to the seafront, and we are looking for 14 more amazing people to help us deliver a brilliant race day.

This is a huge event for Southend, bringing athletes, supporters, families and the local community together for a morning of swimming, cycling, running and proper race day atmosphere.

Without our volunteers and marshals, events like this simply do not happen.

We have various roles available, including registration, swim and transition support, course marshals, finish line support and water station duties. You do not need any experience, just a friendly face, a positive attitude and a willingness to be part of something great for Southend.

Every marshal plays a massive part. Whether you are directing athletes, helping in transition, handing out water, supporting the finish area or simply giving someone a cheer when they need it most, you will be part of what makes the day safe, smooth and unforgettable.

We have also created a dedicated RTC Events Marshals WhatsApp Group so people can easily respond to volunteer requests without endless email chains.

Joining the group does NOT mean you have to help at every event, it simply allows us to contact those interested in volunteering much more efficiently.

RACE PACK COLLECTION – SOUTHEND TRIATHLON 2026

We are encouraging as many of you as possible to collect your race pack on Saturday 20th June between 9:00am and 1:00pm from our event sponsor, The Wetsuit Outlet.

Collecting on Saturday will help minimise queuing on race morning and make the whole morning much smoother for everyone.

Your race pack will include your race number, bike number, timing chip and any key race day items you need.

Goodie bags will only be available at Saturday registration and are subject to availability.
