Muddy Monsters Cycle Races - Norwich

Last year we introduced a Balance Bike category into our races. Check out these amazing Balance Bike courses by Little Riders. Why not book your child a place to prepare them to take part in our 2025 series 🚴‍♂️💨

NEW BALANCE BIKE COURSES 📅

We are super excited to share details of our first Balance Bike courses of 2025.

The course aims to give children aged 2.5-4 yrs old the chance to take the first steps towards learning how to ride a bike. 🚴‍♂️

During the course your child will take part in a range of fun story based activities. The activities are designed to give riders the motivation to get on a bike and also to develop lots of the fundamental skills required to ride it. 👍

We will be running courses in Norwich and Ipswich during March and June.

Places on the course only cost £45 per child, which we think is a great investment. 👌

Don’t worry if your child doesn’t have their own balance bike yet as we can lend them one.

LOCAL RACE ALERT!

Did your child enjoy taking part in our Muddy Monsters races this year? Would they be interested in taking part in another local race?

Round 7 of the Eastern Cyclo Cross league will be held at Old Buckenham Country Park on Sunday 24th of November.

Cyclocross is a fun off road form of cycle racing where riders race around similar courses to the ones we use for Muddy Monsters.

Riders can use a variety of types of bikes including: cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes or hybrid bikes (eg Frog, Isla, Squish).

The race has categories for U10/12/14/16 boys and girls and entries are only £5 per rider.

Well done to everybody that took part in the series this year.

One hundred and twenty one young riders aged 3-14 yrs old took park in the 2024 series which is amazing.

The event will be the culmination of the 2024 series and will be the last opportunity to take part in one of our fun grassroots cycle races until next year.

ONLY A WEEK TO GO ⏳

There is only a week to go until the fourth and final round of the 2024 series. Have you entered your child yet?

The race will take place on Sunday 13th October (1.00-3.30pm) in Eaton Park in Norwich.

It will be the final time this year for your child to have a go at a fun grassroots cycle race.

Also, the overall series champions will be crowned at the end of the race.

Races are available for Boys & Girls in the following categories U8/U10/U12/U14.

Also, we have added a brand new U4 Balance Bike category 🚴💨

Entry is only £6 per child (£2 for Balance Bike).

Medals & trophies for overall series results at the end of the race. Huge thanks to Smilebikes - Electric Bike Shop Norwich for sponsoring the medals & trophies.

BALANCE BIKE RACING 🏁

We are super excited to announce that we have added some U4 balance bike races to the final round of the Muddy Monsters series.

The races will give younger riders the chance to take part in sone fun races just like the older riders.

Riders will take part in races on shorter versions of the regular Muddy Monsters courses. There will be separate categories for boys & girls. Entry will only cost £2 per rider.

If the balance bike races are popular then we will continue them in next years Muddy Monsters series

We are really excited that Round 3 of the series is taking place this Sunday (8th) at Sloughbottom Park in Norwich. Have you entered your child yet?

We are looking forward to another afternoon of fun bike races. All riders will have the opportunity to take part in three races:

- Skills race
- Sprint race
- Endurance race

You don’t need to have taken part in any of the previous rounds to enter.

So if your child enjoys riding their bike and you think they might like to try having a go at a fun local race then enter them to take part.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday so make sure you enter ASAP.

Don’t forget that it is Round #2 of the series this Sunday.

It will be held at a brand new venue, Easton College on the outskirts of Norwich.

The event will run between 1.00-3.30pm (so you will have plenty of time to get home for the football!)
