The P-Dawg and O.B will be on on Wednesday the 27th at 7pm to talk about all things Pedal 2 The Metal and our plans for next year :D

Pedal 2 the metal is a 1100 bike ride from Norwich to .official to then home, all to raise money for charity and next year we will be raising money for the .official.

Just so I can plan and get the artwork started, all submissions for those wanting to do the whole route with me next year need to be in before the 1st of December

So a slight change to last year, we will have a support motorcycle provided by my friend Jon, checking us into campsites and to be there if something goes wrong. So we will be able to set fixed camp sites and routes.

Remember when O.B was on BBC radio Norfolk, well he sent a postcard and they received it and read it out 2 days ago, listen from 1:52 if you want to jump straight to the post card segment

I can confirm I bought the post card at Wacken Open Air from the art tent and it was drawn by Demidow Artworks, which I think Chris did a really good job of describing the post card on radio, which is the picture in this post, the sticker was a gift, which is now on the bike

Would YOU like to get involved in Pedal 2 The Metal 2025?

We want to make this event bigger and better every year, and what better way to do that than to get more people involved?

Whether you're up for cycling some or all of the route with O.B. yourself, helping raise money, advertising, media, cheering along the route, or would just like to be kept in the loop, drop us a message or comment below and we'll get back to you later this year when we sit down to plan the next one!

For those of you based in the UK, it's about the same distance from London to the Harwich ferry as it is from Norwich, so a London starting hub is definitely plausible if we have enough interest!

THIS IS NOT A FIRM COMMITMENT FOR ANYONE WHO REPLIES. We are just using the tail end of this year's hype train to put some feelers out whilst we have your attention ;)

Hey everyone, this is Paolo at Pedal 2 The Metal HQ, with a bit of a post-ride roundup. I've included all the Strava segments, plus some extra maps of the whole route.

Some stats for you to put what O.B has done into perspective:

1100 miles cycled - that's the distance from Paris to the Ukranian border
100 hours in the saddle - two and a half work weeks
65,000 calories burned, an average of 6,000 a day

And of course:

£1700 and counting raised for The Sophie Lancaster Foundation!

Those of you in the Norwich area, O.B. will be at the Bell Hotel from around 6:30 this evening to tell his tales of derring-do, so if you're about come along and say hi. Look for the pink cycle helmet!

1100 miles, 2 metal festivals, 3 countries, 2 channel crossings and 1 idiot.

All done for 2024!
