Event #296 - The Spooktacular One 🎃🧟🧛

What an amazing event this morning with so many of our juniors and volunteers in spooky Halloween costumes
🎃💀🦖🧟‍♂️🧌👻🕷️👹🐼🦈🐕🤪

We had spooky skeletons, deadly Draculas, dinosaurs, sharks, pandas and even a Minecraft snowman 🤗

A special mention to Emily and Victoria for amazing coordination Tailwalking in their inflatable dog costume 🐕😁

We had a Halloween themed warm up, with monster stomps, bone shaking high knees, moans and groans, and we even tried to do a bit of Thriller dance 🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟😆

Oh and our juniors also did some running 🤪
All of those Halloween treats last night must have given them lots of energy as there were some fab efforts 🏃‍♀️🏃🤸🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️👍

All finishers enjoyed their treats at the finish 🍬🍭

🎃 17 jittery juniors 🏃‍♀️🏃🤸🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
🎃 2 frightful first timers 🧟‍♂️🧟
🎃 4 petrifying personal bests 🏅🏅🏅🏅
🎃 16 vampiric volunteers 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

It was a great atmosphere from our families and volunteers cheering everyone on, thank you 🤗

Event #295 - The windy one with a rainbow 💨🌈

We had a very blustery start but were very glad we could go ahead as we were pleased to see so many new faces to our event. We had visitors from Essex and Mansfield, and two fabulous first timers to their very first parkrun. Thanks for joining us. 🙂

We had a fun warm up and then the rain managed to hold off whilst our juniors were running and we were treated to a pretty rainbow. Well done to everyone taking part in the windy conditions.

Course check, we're good to go!

It's blustery, but our course is thankfully quite sheltered by the surrounding hedges and houses 🌬️🤗

The autumn morning sunshine is trying to break through, bring a jacket in case any showers come back 🤗

Ho ho ho! 🎅

Is it too early to mention the C word?🎄

Christmas Day and New Year's Day both fall on a Friday this festive season. Whilst we could host an event on one of these days we've decided not to again ❌

So enjoy unwrapping your presents, eating chocolate, spending time with your family or perhaps visit one of the special events that are taking place on these days.
🎁🍫🤗 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🤸🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️👍

Event teams are in the process of confirming if they will be hosting events so do check the parkrun UK Special Events page or individual event social media pages before you travel:

https://www.parkrun.org.uk/special-events/

We hope to host events as normal on the Sundays on the run up to and over the festive period and would love to see you then (weather and volunteers permitting)
