How much do your children really know about where their food comes from? 🌱

For many young people - especially in urban areas - there’s little connection to the land, farming, and the journey food takes before it reaches their plate.

That’s just one of the reasons The Country Trust exists. Their mission is to help children explore and understand the countryside in fun, hands-on, and engaging ways.

We’re delighted to be welcoming the The Country Trust team to This is Farming on 11th July, with plenty of interactive activities for children of all ages - and adults might learn a thing or two, as well! 💡

Physical exercise is already widely recognised for the positive impact it can have on mental wellbeing, and when you pair that with fresh air, open space, and time in the great outdoors, it can be pretty powerful!

This Mental Health Awareness Week, why not make a little more time for yourself? Step outside, move your body, and give your mind the space to breathe. It's amazing what a bit of movement can do 🤗

That’s just one of the reasons we’re so excited to be welcoming Will from The Farmyard Gym to This is Farming this July 💪

He’ll be bringing all this (🏋️‍♀️) and more - including the Barnyard Burnout challenge, where you can test yourself, have some fun, and get involved no matter your fitness level.

🥕 Shopping at farm shops & local markets to enable rural communities
🥛 Choose seasonal products (it's fresher, tastier, and better for the environment!)
🐄 Support fair pricing. Farmers deserve a sustainable income for their hard work.
📢 Speak up - back policies and initiatives that protect UK agriculture.
