Good afternoon, we hope you are well this fine sunny day. We would just like to extend our huge thanks to all the people who helped to make last night's quiz night such a huge success. From the wonderful businesses of holmfirth who donated prizes ; Dysons Jewellers, the gift horse, holmfirth pet centre, perfect hive, Pennine wealth management, Beatties, Sid's cafe, Holme Valley campsite, Gypsy Blades Piercing, Hollowgate Fisheries, Shades of China, & Holmfirth Head spa. To the wonderful people who brought the community a fantastic supper of baked potatoes with chilli and cheese, and of course those who gave up their time to help on the night. It was an absolute pleasure to see so many faces and we are so grateful for you all giving up your Friday night in front of the TV and spending your hard earned money to support our community event. We will absolutely be looking forward to the next one in around 3 months (date TBC) .

Special thanks to the team bringing up the rear for their fantastic sportsmanship and good humour when receiving their Losers Loofah to scrub up on their knowledge for next time. We sent them home with a pack of tissues to mop up their tears and a coffee to have before the next one to help them stay awake as they must have had a little snooze on this one. 4 out of the 5 team members of Gummies Bears made it to the front to have a picture in their clown hats, I think the other must have gone to borrow tissue from the toilet for their tears 😜

There were some friendly competitions with the mini games starting with flip of a coin heads or tails and one not so friendly between two very competitve siblings trying to out do each other on winning a bottle of pink vodka🤣 and some fantastic paper airplanes made.

Finally the quiz winners just nicked that coveted top spot by one point although I think they cheated by buying some sneaky red dot stickers to double some of their points. With a grand total of 89 points our winners bagged themselves a photo op with a tiny trophy, a medal to take home and free entry into the next quiz.

We had a blast, thanks again to all for coming along to share in the fun. Here's a few snaps from the night for you all to enjoy.
