Rolling into a new chapter, last weekend saw us team up with race partner Curve to celebrate the grand opening of their brand-new adventure dojo and European headquarters at Casa Curve in Malaga
Their new HQ is fully equipped, with a full range of rental bikes, a professionally equipped workshop, great coffee, and a beautiful showroom displaying some of their finest creations
Joining up with the Curve crew and enjoying the warm Andalusian sun felt like a gift from the Celtic gods. It gave us the chance to experience some of Malaga’s incredible gravel riding and its superb cycling culture
Curve Malaga has something special going on, and this is just the beginning
Malaga is a perfect destination for cycling, with over 300 days of sunshine each year. Combined with huge investment in cycling infrastructure, beautiful Mediterranean coastlines, pine forests, mountain passes, quiet inland roads, massive gravel climbs, and endless route options for both road and off-road riding, there are countless reasons to head out there and take advantage of Casa Curve and the incredible hospitality that awaits
We’ll be planning a series of Pan Celtic Gathering events and training camps based out of the Curve Malaga HQ. Riders will be able to enjoy tailored group rides, opportunities to hire Curve bikes, sample the fantastic local cuisine, and maybe even catch a tan. And, in true clan style, there might even be a cold beer or two
Numbers will be limited, and we’ll aim to get our first Malaga Gathering up and running in early 2027, giving you plenty of time to prepare. We will of course share more information via email and across our social channels as details are confirmed
We look forward to welcoming you all to Casa Curve

A Gathering is Coming
June 13 - 14th 2026
Chester ~ Conwy ~ Chester
The time is upon us to gather the Clan, to ready ourselves for a Gathering
The Gathering is an opportunity for riders to come together pre-race, to connect with one another and to strengthen bonds of kinship. We encourage this celebration to familiarise yourselves within the Clan, to make friends and to enjoy one another’s company before meeting again, on the start line of the Pan Celtic Ultra 2026 in July
Of course, you do not need to have signed up to our event to join in with The Gathering. If you are interested in what we do and wish to experience riding with us over the weekend, then you are more than welcome
This tradition serves as a vital link between the past and the present, an offering of community and belonging, bridging the cap between events and training
The Gathering allows us to continue to share stories, to ask questions and to learn from another before taking on the challenges that lie ahead. This is fundamental to ensuring our community is a safe space and inclusive for all
We’ll meet in Chester, a territory of the Cornovii tribe, before crossing the border and riding across some beautiful parts of North Wales and into Conwy, where we’ll settle for the evening before the return journey the following day. There will be route files provided and options should you wish to catch the train back to Chester instead
We’ll have more details in the coming weeks, regarding locations, our overnight stay, how to get tickets, and ride routes, so please keep your eyes open for those. If you haven’t already, subscribe to our mailing list to be kept up to date with all news and events ~ link in bio
In the meantime, save the date, and we hope to see you all there.

You heard our calling, and came
Much like the Celts of old, whom infiltrated Britain many years ago, our Clan of 2026 are a people who have come together through circumstance. They all share a love for cycling and they all heard our call, and came. Seeking adventure and willing to blaze a trail into the unknown they joined our family and yours. Together we stare into the abyss while the abyss stares back
Entries are still available for this year’s event in July, if you are just wondering, still dreaming, it is now time to take the leap and join our Clan. Life affirming experiences await ~ Link in Bio

The Light of the Earth
The Celts called it Alban Eilir: the moment light and dark stand in perfect balance. This midpoint of spring is a time for the sowing of seeds, the awakening of nature, and the promise of renewal
Soon, fires will be lit and ancient art will be illuminated by the returning sun
Now is the time for our Clan to stir from winter’s hibernation. Training begins in earnest. We kick off the peak of spring this May at The Rally Gravel Rally 2026, followed by the first episode of the Pan Celtic Ultra Chapter 2 in July
If you intend to join us in 2026, the time to act is now. The window of opportunity narrows with every sunrise. Final roll call is imminent

We proudly introduce to you
An amazing initiative brought to you in conjunction with new race partner, Curve - we are excited to introduce a bike rental programme for our 2026 events - The Pan Celtic Ultra 2026, and The Gravel Rally
Together we’re combining our focus to lower the barriers to entry into ultra-distance riding, and offering a fleet of Curve bikes to rent is a big step toward helping more people experience these events without needing to invest in a new bike beforehand
And when we say we want to reduce barriers to entry, we really mean it. If you decide to hire a Curve bike for a Pan Celtic Race Series event (PCR or TGR), we will knock 20% off the entry fee
Whether you are a gravel enthusiast, an ultra distance dreamer or a seasoned bike-packer, Curve has you covered with high-end road, gravel and adventure bikes suited to the demands of our events
The rental program can also be used as an extended demo. If you decide to purchase a Curve bike immediately after your rental, the cost will be deducted from the purchase price

We proudly present to you, our partnership with Wild Horse Brewing Co
The Celts had a deeply ingrained, sophisticated brewing culture, enjoyed by both men and women, beer acted as a staple beverage and a key social lubricant as early as 500 BC. They innovated by using wooden barrels for storage, while brewers flavoured ales using wild herbs, mugwort, and meadowsweet for flavor. Appearing in both daily life and high-status rituals, it was heavily integrated into politics and feasting, often served in large quantities to elites. Please take note of that last sentence
A note from Wild Horse Brewing Co
At Wild Horse Brewing Co we love the outdoors, North Wales and all the amazing activities our local area is perfect for – just like the incredible Pan Celtic Ultra and Gravel Rally. We’ve worked with the team, supporting the Gravel Rally for the past couple of years and we can’t wait to get even more involved with both events in 2026 and beyond, that perfectly embody the vibrant outdoor community here in North Wales

We proudly present to you, our partnership with Albion
Another meeting we were almost late for, Matt missed the train at Llandudno, Toby was sitting at Chester waiting, hoping he’d find a solution. With just minutes remaining, a car skidded into the station, Matt burst through the barriers and the journey to London began. That was more than 6 years ago, and we’re honoured and privileged to continue our partnership. The Albion team, are like minded souls searching for adventure and refining their products by it, in an attempt to help keep us all outside for longer. Here’s to memories created, shared and remembered, and we look forward to seeing where this next chapter takes us
A note from Albion co-founder, Rupert Hartley
“After that first meeting, and before the first Pan Celtic Race set off from a car park in Inverness, came the first Gathering. We made our way to the Betws-y-Coed YHA at Swallow Falls, unsure what lay in store. What was a Gathering? I barely knew what an Ultra was at that point. Stories, riding, good company, sleeping in a fire station; I should have known this would become business as usual for the Pan Celtic. Fast forward 3 years (and a Pandemic), both Jack and I had ridden an edition of the Pan Celtic, starting our own journey’s in this world. The people at that first Gathering can still be found on start lines of the Pan Celtic all these years later, and the team remain great friends of ours. We are excited and proud to start the next chapter together.”

We proudly present to you, our partnership with Scribe
Some stories transcend time, and having seen first hand how much Scribe care about the community and are prepared to offer their help in a riders hour of need, we find ourselves honoured to have partnered with not only such a great ideology, but a wheel manufacturer that produces some of the fastest wheel on the market. Stories from Chapter One echoing into a new era
A note from Scribe
“Our story with the PCR started in Belfast. In the very first year, we got a call saying one of the riders needed a new wheel after a RTC incident in Scotland docks. That’s when we met one of our ambassadors; Neil Lauder. Battered and bruised, he refused to give in, even with a cracked frame. I was hooked on the event from this point onwards as we watched all the live GPS pins move across the country. At Scribe, our name is about connecting riders to their own journeys and chapters, and we are stoked to officially partner with PCR.”

We proudly present to you, our partnership with Exposure Lights
Another partner who has supported us since the beginning, although we’ve been friends for even longer. We first met Exposure in 2017 when Toby’s rear light fell from its bracket while commuting home from work. When he found it, still flashing in the middle of a busy road, it had been crushed and was totally bent out of shape. The light was replaced and the crushed light (on display in their showroom) stands as a testament to the build quality of their lights. Exposure have gone on to support us and bring their best to The Gravel Rally Night Stage each year. Onwards into Chapter Two, we’re excited to see what comes next.
A note from Exposure Lights
“The Pan Celtic team have created something very special with the Ultra and Gravel Rally. It’s easy to see from the riders, that these events are more than just races; there’s a true camaraderie and togetherness; it’s supportive and celebratory. For Exposure Lights, it has been - and continues to be - a joyful association. It gives us immense pride to see so many Pan Celtic riders relying on our lights to attack the exhilarating Night Stage at the Gravel Rally, or guide them safely along the winding roads and through the dark nights during the Pan Celtic Ultra. We cannot wait for this year’s editions and we greatly look forward to hearing your stories from the road and trail

We proudly present to you, our partnership with Curve
We’ve been long time friends with Curve and Ryan ‘Rhino’ Flynn ever since 2019 when he completed our inaugural race, bringing his humour and ultra distance wisdom through ‘Rhinos Top Touring Tips’, a comical take on the highs and lows of ultra distance cycling. (Those old Insta stories from 2019 still make us laugh now!)
Curve share our passion and philosophies surrounding bikepacking, adventure, gravel and our ability to enable riders from all walks of life to enjoy this wonderful sport. Partnering with Curve brings lots of exciting new opportunities and we are buzzing to see what the future holds. Watch this space
A note from Curve
“Curve is proud to partner with and support this wonderful clan and its adventure cycling events, both on and off-road. Many of the bikes we make have been designed to take on events like the Pan Celtic and Gravel Rally! Having been part of the inaugural Pan Celtic in 2019 and remaining in close contact ever since, this is a great opportunity to further support and champion this growing community and these two incredible events that echo our passion and excitement within adventure cycling.”
