Introducing our newest resident dj and fellow promoter…

ZESTY is a Leeds based DJ and founder of the q***r club night SHAKE IT! Mixing a wide range of genres from garage, grime and UK Funky, he brings an infectious energy to his sets. His sound is Heavily influenced by POC and q***r cultures and is guaranteed to get the dance floor moving! Zesty has been on a roll recently, with sets at Boomtown, Keep Hush, and radio sets up and down the country! We can’t wait to welcome this star back to Gbosa once again ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ebmo is a multigenre DJ who has firmly established herself within the Leeds and Manchester music scenes. Drawing inspiration from Black electronic music and global club sounds, her sets blend an eclectic mix of jersey club, baile funk, bouyon and everything in between. Opening for us on the night is a GBOSA veteran, it’s been a minute since he’s partied with us and we’re excited to see his selections!

Taurai is the stage name and the goal is to make people smile dance and groove, been with GBOSA for the last few years and all but positive energy and experiences. Been out of DJing for a minute but back again to have a great time with a great group of creators and DJs. For the night I’ll be mixing tracks inspired by trap, dancehall, as well as some throwbacks from a few eras I love. Can’t wait to showcase it 🫶🏾

A trailblazing musical polymath, NikNak has carved a niche for herself in the music industry with
her distinctive turntablism, immersive compositions, and captivating improvised performances.
Heralded by the likes of DJ Mag, Clash, The Wire and Resident Advisor, her debut album Bashi
garnered critical acclaim, positioning her as one to watch in the experimental electronic music
scene. Her fourth studio album Ireti was released on Matthew Herbert’s label Accidental Records
in 2024 and was named one of the year’s best albums by Mixmag and Bandcamp.

They’re a GBOSA alum having played back in 2024 and we’re so excited to bring them back to play on the amazing sound system

🚨DJ ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

After seeing her at We Out Here and listening to her NTS radio show Radiant Life, we knew she’d be perfect for this party.

Amsterdam-born, London-based DJ Ruby Savage has spent 15+ years immersed in music. Starting behind the counter at Honest Jon’s Record Store she deepened her musical knowledge and record collection with a love for soul, jazz, disco, dub and dance music. This took her to work with Theo Parrish’s Sounds Signature label & with Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings. She has radio shows with NTS, Worldwide FM and J-Wave Tokyo,

As a DJ she’s performed at London’s most well respected clubs such as Koko Electronic, Corsica Studios and Village Underground just to name a few. The intuitive and uplifting energy Ruby brings to music lovers has taken her on club and festival tours around the world, making frequent returns to Brazil, Oceania and across Europe.

We’re so excited to bring her back to Leeds after 2 years for set on gorgeous sound system

THE LOVERS DANCE by

GBOSA is back with the first event of the year with a new night especially for those who love love (not just couples but singles too).

are letting us steal the space away from for the night for a night of lovers rock, rnb, Neo soul and slow jams across the board.

DJs to be announced but we’re so excited about the DJs that we’re bringing to Leeds for this event.

We’re doing this night to raise money for . Alternative education provider working with young people who are unable to access the mainstream school system.

this does mean the tickets are slightly higher priced than usual but we will still provide cheaper tickets for QTIPOC people, please keep a look out. Also if you have the means to donate we’ll have an option to do that too.

DJ SPOTLIGHT: IHATENOISE 💚🧡💚

The final spotlight before the big night on Saturday, IHATENOISE is a Leeds based Gbosa resident Dj who is passionate about black and q***r spaces as well as black and q***r music. Her sound is a blend of GQOM and rap, with a focus on girly and powerful lyrics. IHATENOISE will be closing and plays for the divas and especially the dolls.
