It’s good to welcome this Irish duo back to the Wee Folk Club. GEORGE MURPHY (vocals and guitar) is a singer songwriter, whose own songs feature a witty style and a well observed commentary on life in Ireland and beyond. He also collects songs from Ulster and all over Ireland and especially favours those who tell stories of the 'craic' of rural Irish life, he will bring the Irish tradition of community singing to us.
FRANK CASSIDY is an accomplished musician who frequently tours with George, he is a bouzouki player who is much in demand as a session musician with singers and traditional instrumentalists.
It’ll be an evening of gorgeous musicality and sheer craftsmanship….

We’re pleased to welcome FADED GLORY to the Wee Folk Club, George Archibald, Jim & May Weatherston this band plays around Edinburgh and beyond. Their great vocal harmonies supported by excellent guitar & mandolin playing make for a wonderful sound across a range of traditional Scottish and more contemporary material. With two singer songwriters in the band, there will also be some of their own compositions to enjoy. For those of you who find the band name strangely familiar, they are of course three members of the wonderful band RAGGED GLORY who have always been very popular when they played at the Wee Folk Club & elsewhere in the past.
Come along to an evening which is bound to be one of excellent guitars, amazing vocals, good music and fun….. You really shouldn’t miss this one!
