Right then… the kids are back at school. What about the grown ups?

We’re starting something new at Atlas:

Every Tuesday through term time, we’re opening from 11am - 1pm for our Back to School Club. A couple of hours made for actually getting out of the house, seeing some people and having a proper grown up conversation.

This isn’t a baby group. You don’t need to book. You don’t need to know anyone. And there’s no awkward organised fun 😂

Come on your own, bring a mate, bring a book, have a coffee, eat some cake, have a glass of wine if that’s the sort of Tuesday you’re having…

We’ll have hot drinks, iced coffees, matcha & chai, sweet treats, light bites, acoustic music and various bits going on from week to week: quizzes, book clubs, crafts and socials.

Parents, carers, grandparents, cool aunties/uncles, everyone’s welcome.

We’re running it every Tuesday until October half term, then we’ll see where we go from there.

Come and give the first one a go!

We love our Jam Nights, but sometimes the jam is in full swing and it’s hard to stop for someone wanting to play a song or two… so we’re making Open Mic Night official!

Originals, covers, songwriters, singers, musicians — anyone welcome. Come down, get up and play us something. I’ll probably have a go myself too 😂

No pressure, just a friendly room and a chance to play.

Bring us your songs! 🫶

This one is gonna be ridiculous.

We’ve got CONGRATULATIONS coming to Atlas on Saturday 7th November.

These guys were recommended to me by someone whose music taste I trust massively after they caught them at The Great Escape Festival and basically said, “you need to get this band in Atlas.”

So… we did 🤯

They’re absolutely amazing and I genuinely think this is gonna be one of those gigs where afterwards everyone’s asking “where the hell did you find them?!”

And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got the amazing MINT supporting too 🙌

Honestly, go have a listen to Congratulations’ debut album Join Hands, then come and see them in a room this size while you still can.

You know the drill…

Bring your instruments, bring your mates and come have a play. Vocalists absolutely welcome too!

Got a song you’ve been working on and fancy hearing what it sounds like with a full band behind you? Get it done. Bring the idea, jump on stage and see where it goes.

Don’t have your gear with you? No stress — we’ve got a few bits here you can use too.

No pressure, no set plan. Just musicians meeting musicians, trying stuff out, having a jam and making a bit of noise.

Come down and get involved!

WOWZA… we’ve got one of the best in the biz at Atlas THIS FRIDAY!

I genuinely can’t explain how lucky we are to have Red Giant coming to play for us.

And if Dave Simpson isn’t already on your radar as a guitarist, he absolutely needs to be. Featured in guitar magazines, followed by a huge community online for his guitar videos, and an unbelievable player to see up close — this is going to be a seriously special night.

Fancy a little Shop Local warm-up before the weekend kicks off? Or can’t make the Saturday/Sunday gigs? Come and get your fix with us on Friday instead!

NOT TO BE MISSED! Guaranteed to be brilliant.

PAUL ARCHER is a Belfast singer-songwriter and an absolutely exceptional musician. He comes from a huge background in music and is ridiculously good at what he does — we genuinely feel very lucky to have an artist of his calibre playing on the Atlas stage.

Supporting him are NEVIS, featuring Nick, another familiar face from our jam nights, alongside Leon, who also owns a recording studio in Grimsby. Exactly the kind of crossover between musicians, studios and the wider creative scene that we want Atlas to keep encouraging.

Then we've got NORTH WALL COSA, playing a special acoustic set. Proper local legends, and Milly has become one of our best and most regular jam night attendees, so it's brilliant to have them involved in this one.

And finally — a little later than we'd have liked getting this one out, so apologies for that. We've been putting a few things in place behind the scenes to get our programming and announcements out much earlier, so you should start seeing a lot more notice on upcoming shows.

And definitely keep your eyes peeled, because we've got some seriously exciting bookings on the way.
