Grimsby Folk Club The Club meets at 8pm on Sunday evenings from September to July and hosts a wide variety of guests.

Established for over 50 years, a friendly folk club meeting on Sunday nights with talented floor singers and regular outstanding guest nights. The Club meets at 8pm on Sunday evenings from September to July.

Ian & Michelle were resident singers at the club for several years until they moved back to Suffolk but we often still see them on our Room & Zoom evenings. Tonight, here at the Spiders Web, you will have chance to enjoy their gentle sound, with lovely harmonies and accompanied on guitar and whistle. They sing traditional & contemporary material and Michelle is a fine songwriter having won the Write a Lincolnshire Song Competition on more than one occasion.

Thank you to Stephen and Pernille, the Quiggs, for giving us a very entertaining evening on Sunday. This talented duo performed a varied selection of songs including some written and sung beautifully by Pernille, and interspersed with some Scottish and Danish anecdotes. With Stephen's witty banter, it was an enjoyable evening all round, with Paul Bellamy and Lynn Haynes starting the evening and Arthur Knevitt opening the second half.
The club will be closed next Sunday for the Bank Holiday.

Organisers of the Irvine folk Club, this Danish/Scottish folk duo presents a unique tapestry of songs woven with a Celtic thread. Whether the material is traditional or contemporary the distinguishable mark of the Quiggs is the quality of the voices in harmony and the strength of the songs.
Steven was a member of the McCalmans and toured with the group all over Europe and it was from Denmark (Viking raids revisited) that he brought home his future wife and singer/songwriter Pernille.

Another super night on Sunday with Gill and Bernard Blackwell giving us an excellent selection of songs including some from the days of the Music Hall. This talented duo accompany themselves on guitar, flute, Northumbrian smallpipes, concertina and accordion. Paul Bellamy and Lynn Haynes started the evening with a lively set and Kirsty Hannah opened the second half. Our next guest night will be on 17th May with the Quiggs.
