We are delighted to announce as Patron of Riddel’s Warehouse ✨🌍

An artist, author and advocate, Oliver’s work spans disciplines and reaches audiences across the world, inviting people of all ages to see things differently and consider their role in shaping the future.

With roots in Belfast and a practice that extends globally, his work aligns closely with our mission to support creativity, experimentation and new ways of thinking. Oliver also shares a creative connection with Riddel’s Warehouse, having previously used warehouse spaces in the development of his work, making this relationship all the more meaningful.

We are honoured to welcome Oliver Jeffers as our Patron and look forward to the inspiration, insight and creative collaboration this partnership will bring.

About this album

In advance of Matilde Meireles’s Four Tales, this single contains an alternative edit of tale Two. Two (Another Way) is an improvisation based on a series of loops of made from movements of water; raw electromagnetic pulses recorded with an electromagnetic sensor and a VLF antenna; electromagnetic pulses transformed into drones, rhythmic pulses and imagined animal calls.

While Two created a continuous sonic journey between two locations along the River Lagan, Belfast, Two (Another Way) suggests that listening itself can unfold in multiple ways, uncovering different sonic flows within the urban-aquatic entanglements at the heart of Four Tales.

Two emerged from the listening sessions Matilde created for DRIFT, a collaborative floating architectural installation and public space that fostered new perspectives on city-river connections along Belfast’s River Lagan during summer 2024. Commissioned by Belfast City Council, DRIFT brought together OGU Architects, MMAS Architects and Matilde Meireles.

‘Four Tales’ album launch: Matilde Meireles featuring Conor McAuley, Michael Speers, and Paul Stapleton

Four Tales (Crónica, 2026) is Matilde Meireles’ upcoming album where sound and architecture unite in conversation. Floating between documentation, imagined drifts and ecosystems, the concert will explore urban infrastructures and bodies of water as entangled entities to be carefully tended to. Matilde (field recording and electronics) will be joined by Conor McAuley (percussion), Michael Speers (percussion), and Paul Stapleton (tromba marina and electronics), the quartet featured on the fourth track of the album.
