Tonight, members of Whitewell Tartan Flute Band will be honoured to represent our band at the remembrance service marking 50 years since the tragic Times Bar bomb attack.

As we remember those who lost their lives and all who were affected, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones who continue to carry the pain of that terrible day.

Tomorrow evening, the community of the York Road / Shore Road area are invited to gather at the Times Bar for a short memorial event and Mural unveiling.

Edward McMurray of Mount Vernon Drive and Robert Groves of Graymount Terrace were two innocent men enjoying a Saturday evening after another week of work.

In a no-warning attack on the Bar, the IRA murdered them both and injured around 20 others. But for the actions of those inside, other locals in the vicinity and the emergency services - the death toll on this community would have been even higher.

Please spread the word about this dignified commemoration at which relatives of the victims will be present.
