Race transfer is now closed, we cannot accept any more transfers. The entrants list is final and being sent off to print your bibs.

If anyone tries to sell you a place, please do not accept it as it is not valid. There will be no more transfers of race places for 2026.

Maybe you didn’t get into London but you did get into one of the best autumn marathons 🙌🏼 we can’t wait to see all you amazing runners in October.

We have sold out and have a long waitlist, so if you didn’t get into Abingdon either, make sure you’re quick off the mark next February for the 2027 edition. We don’t run a ballot but we do sell out quickly!

Also a reminder that transfers can only happen via the entry portal so be wary of anyone on social media posting they have a place to sell.

Do you know anyone running the Abingdon Marathon? Perhaps you’re a runner looking to give back to the community or simply want to be a part of the event? If so, sign up to volunteer as a marshal. Volunteers are our unsung heroes and without you, we can’t run this event!

The sign-up goes live Wednesday 1st July at 8am. You can register here https://www.abingdonmarathon.org.uk/volunteer

If you’ve volunteered with us before or expressed interest in marshalling, you’ll have received an email with the sign-up link. Please check your spam/junk folder if you haven’t seen it.

You were warned… we sold out before the end of the bank holiday weekend!

If you didn’t secure your place, the waitlist is now open. Please remember that places can ONLY be transferred via the waitlist. Do not try to privately sell or buy a place.

Please be aware of anyone posting on social media that they have a place to sell/transfer, no places can be transferred without going through the official website link, so these are likely to be scammers.

Please note: the charity places you may see available are not for general use and are managed via the charities.
