"Today is the day it all begins..."

Terry travelled to Outer Cove Beach, collecting two bottles of Atlantic seawater. He planned to keep one as a souvenir and pour the second one in the Pacific Ocean when he arrived home, but the blustery ocean carried one bottle out to sea.

Terry could not believe what he saw on TV in the hospital: famous actors, musicians, and athletes all came together with 48 hours' notice to participate in a national telethon. In four hours, $10 million was raised for the . ❤️

"All of a sudden, the whole thing exploded; we're up over $12 million now. I saw the way people in Canada reacted to me, the emotional outpouring, it really helped me with the hard part that I had to face the fact that I had cancer...after five months, I had to come back home and fight something that was even harder than what I was doing on my run."
