Fly-Fishing Event at Beachwood Hollow Resort!!
October 25-27, 2024
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
1. Registrants mush have a valid Ontario fishing license.
2. Must be a team of 2-3 anglers per boat. Maximum of 60 people.
3. Cost is $125 per angler. Fees include registration, awards, complimentary dinner at the ceremonies on October 26th, and
door prizes to be given out on October 27th
REQUIREMENTS
1. All occupants on a boat that are fishing must be registered entrants.
4. MNR Rules & Regulations must be followed. https://files.ontario.ca/mnrf_fishing_and_hunting_regulations_1/2019-
fmz-18-english.pdf. Registrants agree to abide by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources Game and Fish Act and
Regulations, the Small Vessel Regulations and the Rules and Regulations of the Monster Mash Event.
2. Anglers must sign a waiver to hold the sponsors of the tournament, their agencies and agents, harmless for any death,
injury, damage, theft, fore or any loss that might result from participation in this event.
3. Entry fees will not be refunded unless the tournament is cancelled.
4. All registrants give permission to use photos of their catches for promotion of this event.
EVENT BOUNDARIES
1. Event boundaries include the following: Lake Stoco and Moria Lake
EVENT REGISTRATION AND FISHING HOURS
1. Friday, October 21th – Captains Meeting – 7:30 pm
2. Saturday, October 22th – 8am until 4pm
3. Sunday, October 23th – 8am until noon
EQUIPMENT
1. Fly fishing gear only. This means commercially available rods, reels, fly lines and leaders.
2. No conventional fishing gear, spinning gear or lures may be present on any boat, even if it is not used.
3. Event organizers may spot check equipment throughout the event in all locations.
SCORING
1. Fish will be scored by length measurement from end of lower jaw to the tip of the tail. Measurement will be in inches.
2. Each team must provide their own digital camera or high-quality phone camera and have the ability to share those
pictures with the event organizer. A cell phone number will be given at the captain’s meeting to submit photos.
3. Teams must take a photo with the daily event icon and a legible bump board under the fish. Bump boards will be supplied
at the captains meeting. For the fish to qualify, the nose of the fish must be at the zero end and the tail at the point of
official measurement with the numbers clearly visible to read the fishes length.
4. The fish must then be released live and uninjured.
5. If there is any discrepancy of the legibility of the photo, the event organizers have the right to not accept a photo entry.
6. No points will be awarded for dead or injured fish.
7. Team with the biggest Muskie will be awarded the Biggest Muskie trophy.
8. If there is a tie the first fish photo sent in will determine the tie.
9. On Sunday, October 27th awards will be handed out after the event at Beachwood Hollow resort.

2. Smallest Fish
3. Biggest Non-Muskie Fish
OTHER
1. This is a conservation-focused event. Safe fishing handling is of the upmost importance.
2. All decisions of the organizers are final.
3. Event organizers have the discrepancy to decline any angler from participating in the event.
4. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs will be consumed or in possession of any registrant during the fishing event.
5. Regulation’s are subject to change. Please note that times may be changed as well.
6. The Municipality of Tweed and event organizers will not be held liable for injury to any person and will not be responsible
for any loss of property. Anglers participate in this event at their own risk.
7. Fishing will begin at 8am on both days. October 26, 27th
8. No pre-fishing the day of the events. Including the Friday before the event. You can drive your boat around the lakes to
find spots just absolutely no fishing.
9. This is a fun event! Please show respect and sportsmanship to other anglers.
