On Thursday, February 5th, we celebrated 20 local organizations who support youth in our community. Each of these groups received a portion of the $28,500 funds, generated through this year's very successful Tweed Festival of Trees. This brings the total amount given back to the community through Festival of Trees over the years to $351,500!! Congratulations to all recipients and thank you for your amazing work as you support youth across the Municipality of Tweed! The organizations receiving this year's funds are: Camp Quin-Mo-Lac, Foundations Youth Centre Tweed, Tweed Public Library, Gateway Community Health Centre Youth Jazz Ensemble, Girl Guides, Kids Help Line, The Land O' Lakes Curling Club Youth Program, Marlbank Recreation, YMCA Summer Pool Program, OPP Adopt a Child Program, Queensborough Community Centre, 385 Royal Canadian Army Cadets, Tweed & Co. plus Youth Summer Program, Tweed & District Figure Skating, Tweed Hungerford Agricultural Society Youth Programs, Tweed Minor Hockey Association, Tweed Food Bank, Tweed Elementary School Musical, Tweed Soccer Association, and the Central Hastings School Musical.
